ramipril and pain killers

5mg everyday, for to treat the diabetic nephropathy, i can get ramipril in my town but its 5mg ramipril capsule in the chemists, and his medications are over, so should i let him take the 5mg ramipril? my big concern is would the dose cause hypoglycaemia or any other effects as the dosage will be double the dose hid doctor prescribed? please help me on that, i will be grateful...thank you.

that is quite a high dosage of beta blocker and is likely to give the low pulse. Is the cardiologist aware of this pulse? The blood pressure medication is quite low and could be increased. Ask the Cardiologist if the beta blocker should be reduced and the Ramipril increased.

My cardiologist put me on ramipril a few wks back and after 10 days ran blood tests whic came back normal. this morning I woke up with diarriah and some serious kidney pain on the right side.It doesn't hurt when I urinate or have a bowel movement although certain body movements cause it to occur. My question is can this be caused by ramipril along with my lasix and potassium with a delayed reaction or buildup?

I have kidney failure (Gfr generally between 40 and 50 but recently closer to 40), and also crohns which has been in remission for years but has recently been shown to be very active. I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.

I am not familiar with Ramipril, so, unfortunately, can't speak to that. I've read posts here where people take a specific type of levothyroxine and have side effects from the dyes in the pill, so that's a possibility. However, I think further work up is probably warranted.

I am currently addicted to pain killers and the best advice I can give you is only take them as directed and as needed. If you start to feel the need to have them even when you're not in pain or just because you want to feel good, you're starting to get addicted and you need to stop taking them and talk to your doctor ASAP. These things are extremely addictive and even harder to get off so please do what your doctor says and you shouldn't be in my situation.

I have been prescribed Oxycontin 20mg and Percocet 5/325 for the pain I have related to seven shoulder surgeries, back pain, ankle pain. Ankle Reconstruction surgery w/tendon graft is scheduled for this Wednesday. I am supposed to take the Oxycontin every 12 hours but I only take it once a day and I am supposed to take the Percocet every 4-6 hours as needed but only take (1) in the evening after the Oxycontin wears off. This does not totally relieve my pain but makes it bearable.

Well, there are all types of pan and all type of pain killers and procedures to to reduce pain. A pain specialist is the gate keeper. She makes sure that you are not over medicated or under medicated. She decides which procedures would be of benefit and which would not. She decides which drugs and how much. It could be that someone could take a short acting pain med and yet they still feel teh pain relief maybe 8-10 hours after the dose and they do not need to take itt at the 4-6 hour level. Other people on the long acting medications may get the full period of pain relief from them (say the 12 hours), but otheres may not and may require a short acting med for BT (breakthrough) pain - that is pain that "breaks through" the covereage from the long acting med.

I was going to have natural birth with no pain killers but the more i think about it and thinking about the pain the more I'm thinking about having something, what's the best thing to have???

Hello I have been diagnosed with LVH on echo and cardiologist said its ok and I am now on ramipril 1.25 mg. I have seen that ecg with inverted t waves and st-t but the doctors are brushing that away and saying to forget that. I am quite anxious and cannot trust.
