237053 tn?1258828426 Does lyme cause one to become more sensitive to things such as metals, jewelry, and medicine? I have become sensitive to certain jewelry that never bothered me before (necklaces that now make my neck itch), and still thinking maybe the rash on my belly is a nickel allergy from pants. Also I am SO sensitive to medication. I don't remember being this way always.
Avatar m tn I am trying to taper the steroid. Has anyone else experienced a reaction like this? I am seeing the necessary physicians, but none of them have encountered a reaction like this.
Avatar n tn Thanks for your reply. I will check the ingred in the protein shake but this rash and reaction was not the same as the time I had the niacin "flush". I did go to the dermatologist and they suggested it was a piece of jewelry since it is localized to my neck and chest. They gave me a prescription for cortisone cream and it seems to be helping to lessen the redness and itching.
Avatar f tn My doctor changed my medicine to another anti-psychotic, and my pupils stopped getting large.
Avatar f tn Hi...I would think if u were allergic u would have had a reaction much sooner than 4 yrs later.....I would look at ne meds u might be taking, supplements or a new shampoo or conditioner.... Talk to ur Dr.
Avatar n tn Well, I'm not sure about that. Antipsychotics don't work right away. Tranquilizers do. Antipsychotics, if they do work, work all the time. Tranquilizes only work for a short period of time and then wear off. If she took this as an antipsychotic injection, it would be during an emergency situation but she would have to take the shots for several months and then go on the medication for longer than that.
Avatar n tn I wear jewelry but I have never had a reaction to it that i can tell (save that now i get outbreaks under the one ring i wear, but i think that's just because the skin underneath gets dry...and this only started happening recently, but I've been wearing this ring for months). The cream I meantioned above I only use when it gets really bad. Otherwise I use aloe vera to remoisturize it, or an OTC cream.
Avatar f tn I use hand-sanitizer, but not every day. Could this be a reaction to the hand-sanitizer with my ring? Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!
Avatar m tn Around a month to a month 1/2 ago I purchased a brand new silver stud earring at a jewelry store. I already had my ear pierced, so all I needed was the earring itself. Stupidly enough, I didn't clean or disinfect the earring with rubbing alcohol before putting it in my year, and instead put it on immediately after purchasing it.
Avatar f tn ve been diagnosed bipolar for about 2 years. I get horrible depression because of my bipolar. I recently had a really bad reaction to pot. REALLY bad. I almost killed myself, screamed at my friends, and vomited for 2 days. No one else that smoked it had a bad reaction. I haven't had a medication change recently. I'm on lamictal, seroquel, wellbutrin, cymbalta, and adderall. I don't know what happened. It wasn't laced or else everyone would have gotten sick.
8778737 tn?1413827423 Anyone else develop new allergies? I just found out last year, I'm highly allergic to wheat products. And now, since the pregnancy... I've grown a reaction to my cat.. Or any animal... :( Anyone else?
Avatar n tn Like any other allergic reaction, it important to remove the trigger and to discontinue using the jewelry. Antihistamine medicine may help with the swelling and itching. However, if pain, swelling, redness and discharge is coming out of it, infection is more likely. Antibiotic management may be indicated. It is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I have bipolar 1 with psychotic features. Is there any anti psychotic that doesn't make you gain weight? I am on risperdal consta 25 mg, and I have gained 35 pounds in 10 months. Avatar f tn I am a bead store owner and use tools for jewelry making for a living. Literally overnight, I developed a hard nodule under my middle finger on the palm, and my finger started snapping into place and being stiff after waking in the morning. Some days the pain is pretty bad and other days it's hardly there. It is my right hand and I am right-handed. Is surgery the only option to correct this problem? I can't imagine being without my right hand. Thanks for your advice.
Avatar f tn Has anyone out there had a Psychotic Reaction to Lexapro during first week of treatment? I was given it for acute anxiety, within 24 hrs it crashed my into depression, I have suffered mild attacks of depression in the past, but nothing like this.
Avatar f tn It's quite possible that you are having an allergic reaction to the minocycline. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling,... As for the eczema...it is probably the source of your itchiness. Perioral dermatitis: It is commonly caused by the use of fluorinated topical glucocorticoid steroids to this area, although it can have many other causes, including fluoride toothpastes or simply continual irritation.
Avatar f tn Do you have to remove all body jewelry before labor? I have my tongue and nose pierced, belly ring fel out.
