My grandmother on my moms side is the only relative who has experienced hair loss. Finally, it appears to thinning everywhere (though much worse in the temple area) and no chunks are missing. From this, I had pretty much concluded I had telogen effluvium. Now, I have already seen a dermatologist for this.

I went to a dermatologist and she put me on propecia for the hair loss. I also took a blood test and said my iron was low. But other then that I my blood was normal. Is it possible they ran certain tests on my blood and not others which maybe why I am misdiagnosed. I have a follow up in late july. I didnt have this burning sensation before i went to see my doc. And my burning scalp is not a symptom of propecia. Any ideas to what this could be? A disease?

I do not want to stop taking Propecia because it has done wonders for my hair. Propecia has halted my hair loss and has re-grown considerable amount of hair. Thus, I need to address my erection problems while still being able to take Propecia. I read that L-Arginine could help with my erectile problems and that it works similar to Viagra. Thus, I began taking L-Arginine, 1500 mg. twice a day. It has helped but it has not solved the problem.

I am 25 year old guy.. I have hair loss. so the doctor prescribed me for propecia which i consumed last 50 days. for the first 30 days, i consumed one tablet per day and the last 20 days i consumed 2 tablets/day. About three months ago I started taking propecia because I thought my hair was falling out too young. I experienced several side effects from the drug including total loss of sex drive, difficulty maintaining erections, loss of spontaneous erections/morning erections. He has lots of hair now and he does not lose any more hair. However, news is floting around saying that the sexual side effect comes from propecia is sometime not reversible.
