Since telogen effluvium is reversible and self-limiting, I think you should hold off on the Propecia for 3 months and see what happens. If the hair is falling out a lot less, then I would continue to wait for the hair to re-grow from its telogen loss. You don't really have anything to lose--male-pattern hair loss wouldn't leave you substantially balder in 3 months anyway, and you can always reconsider the use of Propecia then.

I do not want to stop taking Propecia because it has done wonders for my hair. Propecia has halted my hair loss and has re-grown considerable amount of hair. Thus, I need to address my erection problems while still being able to take Propecia. I read that L-Arginine could help with my erectile problems and that it works similar to Viagra. Thus, I began taking L-Arginine, 1500 mg. twice a day. It has helped but it has not solved the problem.
About three months ago I started taking propecia because I thought my hair was falling out too young. I experienced several side effects from the drug including total loss of sex drive, difficulty maintaining erections, loss of spontaneous erections/morning erections. I stopped taking propecia within 3 weeks due to an inability to deal with these side effects. Things seemed to be slowly getting slightly better as the weeks and months progressed however now some new issues have been arising.
Hello I have been using Rogaine and Propecia 1mg a day for the last 6 years , my alts and so on have always been high around 150 , my gastro doctor 6 years ago it is fine to be using it , now I have stage 11 Fibrosis and will
start treatment probably in the next year or so I wil try and wait for telaprevir .
Is it safe to use rogaine & propecia while on treatment ?
Help. My wife accidentally took propecia (3 mgs over 2 days) thinking it was something else. We are planning on having kids soon. Can there be consequences to a future pregnancy from this mistake? How long will the propecia stay in her body?
s response to the sex hormones estrogen and testosterone, but no specific effect has been well demonstrated in humans. There is really no pain upon ejaculation, only the feeling of a slight buildup due to the thickness of the semen. I have been to a urologist for this and upon a semen analysis, everything came back normal. I do take Finasteride 0.5mg every other day for my hair. Could this be the cause? He insisted that it was NOT the Finasteride (propecia). In addition, I asked if it could be low testosterone and he claimed that it was not the issue in this case.
I took birth control for about 8 years. I decided to stop, just for the hell of it (I originally went on birth control to get my period back because it had stopped once I went to college and played soccer in college and was exercising more than I ever had) So after I stopped, about 3 months after, my hair had started falling out at crazy amounts. I would say I lost like 40% of my hair. All hormone levels were normal, thyroid normal, etc.
I took him to dermetologist, he priscribed Propecia for him. He said it has sexual side effect and goes away when yo sop taking the drug. He has lots of hair now and he does not lose any more hair. However, news is floting around saying that the sexual side effect comes from propecia is sometime not reversible. Asyesterday,he stopped his medicine. I am really worried if it has done any damage to him or not.

there is one other thing I should have shared. Not sure your understanding of this. I was taking propecia for hair loss; and stopped taking about 3 months ago or so. This drug as I understand cuts testomrone. I wonder if stopping it cause test to rise again and caused this...I don't know; I am at a loss. I have read about effects of stopping propecia and no comment has come up about penis infections.
I am 25 year old guy.. I have hair loss. so the doctor prescribed me for propecia which i consumed last 50 days. for the first 30 days, i consumed one tablet per day and the last 20 days i consumed 2 tablets/day. I was also taking anti convolution tablet for a different reason from a different doctor for 10 days.

I am 32 years old, used to smoke for 10 years, have since quit. I have had a bad diet the last 5 years. I have been running and working out for the last 6 months, have lost about 6% body fat. My face skin is loose, and because of this it looked dull, tired and droopy. My question is weather my skin will tighten back up and how long will it take? im 16 and i used to have alot of hair no i still do but now less and when its wet you can see the white part of my upper head, there is a history of hair loss in both my parents families, which is the best supplement to stop hair loss and get my hair back? I am thinking to try www.regrowmyhair.
