1, is pristiq even used for anxiety? i went on the website and read NOTHING that said GAD/panic.
2. my doc said i can just cut my klonopin dosage back to .25 mg am/pm today. no need to taper down since its only been 2 weeks? im not too sure about that? should i just taper down anyways, and if so how do i do it?

If I can get my hands sorted out by the time they grow back I can at the very least be of the Pristiq as I will no longer need it for the nerve pain and depression it causes. That way it will be solely putting up with pain until we can kill it again. My doctor said some of the patients never needed to go back others he said needed zippers to make going back in so often easier :) If they made people zippers they would be rich.
Anyway I don't know.
n pristiq before bed...I suddenly stopped taking pristiq cuz I ran out n my phyciatrist doc office was closed..its beeen 2days now that I haven't taken pristiq..my head hurts bad it feels soar n my neck n ears hurt n eyes a bit..I also have a soar throat..could this b cuz im just stressing n stressing or because I stopped my medication pristiq?? I would like help plzz..im scared..
I have had the absolute worst anxiety since I was 2 years old. I started taking Lexapro...but that didnt do anything for me. Then I took Pristiq....and my anxiety went from 100% 24/7 to almost 0...in a matter of 2 weeks. I can honestly say that it has saved my life. I take 50mg which I believe is one of the lowest doses and it worked absolute wonders on me. Everyone is different, but i definitely would encourage you to try it.
I took Pristiq for a few months and it didn't do much for me (but, you know, different meds work for different people).
My biggest complaint was actually coming off of the Pristiq. I had brain zaps for almost a month afterward (and this was with tapering off) to the point that I was getting nauseated because my vision would blur. I didn't have any side effects while I was on it (other than it doing...nothing).
meant to add, you mentioned taking it for nerve pain too?...I don't know of anyone taking it for nerve pain...I've been on medication for this for years and have never ever heard of elavil being theraputic for nerve pain.
For this type of pain you need an anti-epileptic medication such as Neurontin, Lyrica or Tegretol.
Sorry if I'm stepping out of line here but I can see where you wouldn't be getting no relief from depression nor nerve pain....
I was on Lyrica for some time and gained TOO much weight...making me feel worse and ache more....I need something without that side effect....have been on Cymbalta too ....will savella take the place of both?
m glad it worked good for me for a while but than for me my head hurt all the time and then I never was able to sleep, so she put me on tradozone, I don't know when you take it ..at night it was best for me with a bottle of water. In 3 weeks i'm going to start lexipro I hope that works for me. There are side effects to watch out for google pristiq and do some reading about it that is how I learned alot about this medication. No info on Pristiq from me…I’m sure others have a wealth on info for you. I was also diagnosed with ptsd and was on hydo and morphine for a lot of years and went CT. After day 6 I was on the up and up. The rls started to dissipate and my head cleared. I was on antidepressants until recently for pain but have since stopped due to weight gain. It feels good with noting in me except my BP meds….No pain ..no gain.
I was on Pristiq for about 5 months. I absolutely loved it when I was on it. I was a bit dizzy when I first started taking it, but that went away in no time. I am also on Wellbutrin. My therapist and group therapist find it funny when I talk about how much I love my medicine. I know it sounds weird but to see how I was before taking it and to see how I was just weeks after made a huge difference!
I've been on Pristiq. My GP gave it to me. I've been on it for about 6 months and it's fine for me. It's most effective dose is 50mg, which is equivalant to 150mg Effexor XR I was told. My psychiatrist switched me to Effexor because he says they are the same and I am tapering off. I did NOT gain weight on Pristiq and I think the sexual side effects weren't as bad. I can tell the difference on Effexor.
ve recently been experiencing panic attacks. My Dr added Pristiq to my treatment. As I understand, Pristiq is a more purified form of Effexor. Since starting on the Pristiq two weeks ago, I have felt like pure poo poo. I went to a GP today, thinking I may have a virus or something. She said she would NEVER prescribe both Effexor and Pristiq together. I'm pretty confused on which doctor I'm supposed to believe. I'm going to try to stop the Pristiq, but am not sure what will happen.
