I am age 66. At age 50 my GYN put me on Prempro. I had no symptoms of menopause. He said that it will happen and I can prevent the discomfort of it by starting estrogen therapy. He was right, I have never had any of the things people talk about. What I am wondering, would I maybe not even had the symptoms anyway? I have been on it for 16 years now. My GYN has now prescribed a low dose, but how do I know if I even need it? I am basically healthy.
Three days ago I went to a new doctor to get the hormones adjusted and she said she does not prescribe bioidenticals and gave me a prescription for Prempro. I do not want to take this and I told her so. She said she does not believe bioidenticals are any safer than Prempro and if I needed to have an adjustment in my Rx due to break through symptoms of hot flashes and severe brain fog along with zero energy then I needed to try something different than what I had been doing.

The next day, September 18, I abruptly stopped the Prempro and let my doctor know I felt I had been on the Prempro long enough and also due to the breast cysts. So for me it's only been a little over a month since I've stopped the Prempro. I was told I don't need to return for a year.

If you are angry about this, you could talk to a lawyer that specializes in malpractice. Your doctor really crossed the line, I think, and perhaps a letter from your lawyer would stop her from doing this to other people.

If you can afford a lawyer, hire one. Even if the police won't do anything, you can sue the boys in a civil court. You might have a case for assault, battery, or intentional infliction of emotional distress among other things. Only a lawyer can tell you for sure. A lawsuit won't give them a criminal record but it will send a strong message to the boys and their parents.
Depending on what state you live in if they fired you because your pregnant and you can prove it then you have a HUGE lawsuit on your hands... Just saying because most states it's considered discriminatory to fire you because your pregnant.
That indeed sounds like negligence. It is a little hard to actually win a malpractice case and you'd need a good lawyer. The doctor would be represented by his insurance company's lawyer.

have one next month none that went on until may had a 7day period then in june it hit I started what was a 23 day period very heavy at times stoped for 5 days then started again. went back to my ob-gyn who told me it was menopause. hormone imbalance put me on prempro I am still bleeding not as heavy been taking it for almost a month he told me it could take up to 3 months to even out in the mean time I think im going crazy cry one minute ok the next along with other issues.
