I was suppose to go for exporitory surgery for the mass that was found on my right ovary but they found it to be cancer and opted, with my consent, to do a total hysterectomy. My doctor, who is a OB/GYN, preformed the surgery and after placed me on Premarin. I was worried after finding out all the health issues around premerin, especially the blood clots, since my mom died of that several years after her hysterectomy.

i had full hysterectomy in october 2009 for ovarian cyst. then my doctor gave me premarin 0.06 1 tablet per day.this medicine is very good.i feel very well to take this.but there is a problem .in 2009 i was 45 kg and now i am 65 kg.please help me and give me a suggestion what will i do and how will i reduce my overweight.

Can a normal sized cyst on one overy cause a distended stomach and weight gain?

I have been reading about Premarin and it can likely cause the problem. I would like to get off Premarin and take a natural hormone replacement, or should I stay on the Premarin. What do you think about that and just how do I do that? I know I shouldn't just quit taking it suddenly.

Emotionally and physically. There are so many changes my body has gone through. I have experienced weight gain, mood swings, leg cramps, fatigue and loss of interest in life. This app always tells me my weight is excessive. My doctor tells me I'm on track, and I'm going to listen to him over the app. I have gained 60lb in 34 weeks but I also had an eating disorder when I became pregnant so I was encouraged to eat and gain as much as I could. I just use the app weight tracker simply to keep an eye on my weight so I can tell my doctor what I weighed at my last appt. I don't bother looking at the "excessive" part anymore.

I was on 6 months of Lupron and ended in March. Still waiting for my period to return. I was just given Premarin and agyestin to try and "jump start" my period. Has anyone used Premarin to help jump start their period? And if so, how long did it take? I am on it for 25 days (Premarin) and then starting the aygestin after the 16th day.

I was diagnosed for missed abortion last May 17,2008 (as seen in the Ultrasound,the baby has no heart beat) i was administered a premarin 0.62 mg every 6 hours, the doctor said to soften the cervix as well as cytotec 200 mg every 8 hours. I also tried a very low dose of hormones and got sick with them. I am really trying to figure out a way for the " hot flashes", mood swings, and weight gain to taper off. OK, so I went to the doctor because I initially had discharge (lasted a day or two) and itching (alot of itching) and a few small bumps on my labia mostly and vaginal area. The doctor did a culture and blood test. The blood test came back positive for herpes (1 and 2 I believe) the culture came back negative. The doctor gave me premarin cream....which wasn't working.

My doc tested my progesterone level and it was 3.0. He put me on Clomid 100 mg and Premarin 0.3 mg. The next blood test my progesterone level was 0.9. Now he has put me on Metformin 500 mg twice a day. I am not over weight, in fact I am almost under weight. Women who are considered underweight can gain 25-35, overweight 10-20, and obese women should only gain between 8-15. You're weight might not seem important but it can contribute to the health of the baby and the health of yourself. High blood pressure might not sound too scary but in pregnancy it can actually kill you, and pretty quickly if not properly addressed.

He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes.
