My husband is taking clonazepam .05, Lomtrigine 200 mg and pramipexole dihydrochloride 0.25 for depression, anxiety and RLS. He hasn't been able to get out of bed lately and has missed a lot of work. Could this excessive sleepiness be due to the combination of these drugs? It is not that he doesn't want to get out of bed, it's almost as if he is drugged, which led to my question. This is not normal.
Has anyone tried Pramipexole (Mirapex, Mirapexin, Sifrol) for chronic pain? I have had low back pain for about 15 years now. I finally got someone to do an MRI back in June (I think, it was slightly before summer 2016) and they found a herniated disc at L4-L5 and a degenerated disc at L5-S1. The neurosurgeon decided surgery wasn't worth the risk and pain treatment was the best option.
m going to have to go through my supplements and meds. The only new med is the Pramipexole .05 twice a day (Mirapex). The supplements are Sam-E, D 2000, A and Magnesium 250 twice a day. I'm going to cut the Pramipexole to once a day. Does anyone see if any one of these would cause this or is there a virus going around?
Has anyone used a patch? The only med I take is pramipexole.

I have suffered from a form of restless leg for over 20 years, when my brain wants to relax especially at bed time, my leg muscles in top & bottom start to go into spasm, causing my legs to kick out. Its so sever that if prevents me from falling asleep. I am on tablets called Ropinerol they work to a point but the older I get the worse the spasms get.
I desperately need sleep because I have been plagued by this horrible infliction for the past 2 months now. It can keep me awake most of the night & sleep only comes early morning when this funny horrible sensation subides.
My doctor has offered me tablets called Pramipexole/Mirapexin but I understand they are a brain blocker & I only take them when I am absolutely desperate.
If you go that route just be aware that magnesium can also be used as a tx for constipation – so you might find yourself in the bathroom a little more. For me that effect was very minor and nowhere near as much a problem as the being kept awake by jerking around all night.
I've recently read that RLS is more common in those with HCV than in the rest of the population, so its not just caused by the drugs, although it was for me. Good luck!
m using (Pramipexole) but I suffer a dizziness side effect. I need your help to use a medicine which have not such side effect. Thanks in advance.
Dopamine agonists such as ropinirole, pramipexole, carbidopa/levodopa or pergolide are used and you have to monitor these drugs.
There are some issues with the use of dopamine agonists. There are conditions where the drug itself causes symptoms to increase in severity and/or occur earlier in the day. Monitoring the adverse effects of the drug and titrating a proper dosage is important for your daughter.

I am pretty sure this is neurological. First, I have had restless legs syndrome since I was little. It has gotten worse as I have gotten older. I am 45 now. I can get it just in my legs or whole body. It isn't pain, just creepy crawly and I take meds. For awhile now, maybe over a period of 10 years, I have noticed that I am super hypersensitive to touch, especially my legs which can cause them to start "acting up".
Talk with your doctor abd see if he or she can put you on a medication called Pramipexole. I am taking it for RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) It prevents my legs from jerking and twitching so I can sleep at night. First looking into it too see if that is something you might.
I was on the pramipexole 0.5 several years before I even started taking pain pills. I had 8 surgeries for blocked arteries that caused the pain in my legs.... that's why I got on the pain meds. I never refilled a scrip before time. I took 3 or 4 more a day than ordered. I was on them for about 3 years. It got to where they didn't work. That's when I came here. Thanks to everyone I'm 93 days clean, I've been trying to get off the ambien.
I was taking pristiqe for depression and anxiety I'm 6 wks today and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the Dr. Made me switch over to Zoloft for depression. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Zoloft. Is there anyone that has takin it during their pregnancy? What is your opinion and experience?
I've dealt with depression for most of my life and have been medicated for the past year. I have been off medication for the duration of my pregnancy but due to some family issues and stress, I've been really struggling. Is there anything anybody here has done to help lift their spirits? I really don't want to go back on medications during my pregnancy, and I seriously will try anything to feel better.
OK, I will try to consult with my doctor for Zyprexa (Olanzapine). Wikipedia said FDA approved it for only Mania in bipolar patients not for depression. But I think antipsychotics also reduce depression by looking at the experiences of different people. Can Risperidone also work like Zyprexa? I am currently on it with an anti depressant.
for T3 meds, and pay for them out of their own pocket. Have you looked really hard for a doctor that will at least give you a prescription for T3? We can certainly supply you with enough scientific study data to support the need for T3 when your Free T3 level is low in the range. Do you think such info might persuade your doctor to allow a trial of T3 med?
