Generally, phentermine would not be expected to help with weight loss beyond ten pounds or so. And I expect that if you stopped the medicine, the weight would come back.

I took Phentermine for 2 years in my youth.lol They have not banned Phentermine, they banned Phen/Fen. They took the second part of the diet cocktail off the market because it was causing heart damage. I used to take it for energy, cuz I was a shallow work out freak. When I stopped taking it, the only withdrawal I had was zero energy. Because you are not taking speed anymore. You wont get sick. But it will take you time to get your real energy back. The big problem you have now is the xanax.
I've been taking phentermine for 4 days now. The first day I felt good,lots of energy everything was fine. On the second day I didn't have the same affect.I actually don't feel to well.I haven't been hungry intil today.Been feeling warm in the face and sometimes my ears feel hot. Is this normal? t take it for weight loss, but I know that it is often used for that purpose. I agree that the two medications you are on seem like an odd combo. I took Adderall in the past but felt very jittery and anxious. Vyvanse does not give me that feeling. Additionally, although I was not looking for something to help with weight loss, I did lose quite a bit of weight. In other words, there may be 1 medication to solve both issues. Just a thought....
Sorry you relapsed but I'm confused. You used Phentermine for pain???Phentermine is a synthetic amphetamine. It doesn't do anything for pain. Also you don't have to taper. It is not physically addicting...only psychologically addicting.... Throw them out and you will be tired and depressed for a few days. These are really bad for your physical and mental health so hope you can stop taking them. God bless.
I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and the new patient form I had to fill out asked "Have you ever taken any combination of the drug known as 'fen-phen'. This includes phentermine (Adipex, Fastin, etc) and/or fenfluramine (Pondimin)." What does it matter if I have taken this? I haven't taken fen-phen, but I have and do occasionally take phentermine?

But I only intend to be on it for one more month, as the doctor said it is used for three months only, as the body gets used to it and you may stop losing weight. I feel I have kickstarted the weight loss but I do understand that this is a drastic way of losing weight, however I think the dangers of being obese somewhat outway the dangers of taking amphetamines short term to lose weight (as long as you have no other pre-existing conditions).
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

I was told they would mail me the lipo b injections since the clinic is so far from where I live. I am totally not used to the phentermine and am having trouble sleeping. I have eaten far less today than I usually do. I have not been hungry at all. So it's definately working. Could some of the loss you experienced be water? The doc I went to said that can happen.
