I have been taking Phentermine 37.5 and synthroid .088 for about 4 months now. I just found out a few days ago I am pregnant. I figured I should stop taking the Phentermine but I didn't know if it would have any effects on the baby already. Also I did not know if I can continue to take the synthroid?
There are no listed interactions with Phentermine and Synthroid however i would check with a pharmacist if you do not want to talk to your doctor.
How much phentermine is too much? I took 8 (37.5) today all spaced out about 2 per 6 hours. I can't sleep and I am really thirsty but that seems to be about it. I just don't want to overdose.
I miscarried last Wednesday Nov. 21 at 8 weeks & 3 days. My pregnancy was totally unplanned. I'm 39 will be 40 on 12-3. I started taking Phentermine for weight loss in June and am down 54 pounds. i have been taking lortab 10/500 & ambien for about 7 years. i am currently taking hydrocodone compound 15mg(5day), klonopin& alazopram, phentermine(3day), and when i fill a script for ambien i will take up to 7 late afternoon. i will also take the ambien and klonopin throughout the day if i am out of pain meds. i dont know were to start, i have hit rock bottom. i try to stop taking one then start abusing another.
I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.

I stopped taking Phentermine almost a month ago and I am still experiencing severve depression and anger, panic attacks and insomnia at night. Could this still be withdrawls I took it for a year and a half. If it is how long will it last?
my doc. gave me phentermine 37.5 should i take it if i already have heart polputations?
I know I should not be doing this, but I even went to a weight loss clinic (which worked) and took Phentermine, and I still take it when my hunger feels out of control - which is most of the time. It's the only thing that helps me eat normally and not feel starved. Otherwise I want to graze all day and can't seem to control myself. Is there any other type of thyroid meds I can try that won't cause this extreme hunger, or could my dose be too high?

I have also read that PCOS can also contribute to impulse control problems...

Does anyone here have experience with Phentermine? My doctor let me talk him into it for weight loss last June. It's supposed to be only taken for 8-12 weeks, but since I've kept losing weight and my blood pressure stays low, he's kept refilling my prescription.
I take 37.5 mg once a day. I know this drug is a stimulant, etc. and it can become addictive. Every once in a while-- like today-- I don't take it, just to see if *not* taking it bugs me.
Back in June this year (2010), I started taking Phentermine for weight loss. About a week into the treatment I had an intensely itchy hive wheal on my right hand and also itchy skin on the backs of my legs just under my buttocks. I thought it could have been a dust allergy because I know I'm allergic to dust, among many other things. I went off the Phentermine, and the wheal never went away, but it didn't bother me too much either.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

Because it is a stimulant, you should talk to your doctor about whether it would be safe/appropriate for you, especially given that you are taking atenolol, which is often used to reduce the heart rate or reduce palpitations.
Generally, phentermine would not be expected to help with weight loss beyond ten pounds or so.

Phentermine can alter your blood sugar levels, if you are going to try using it please use it with caution and monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently... if you notice changes and if your blood sugars are becoming too low then stop taking phentermine, and seek further advice about what you could use instead of phentermine. Remember that diabetes should be your priority.
I was having much difficulty losing weight so I went to a Weight Loss Clinic, where they perscribed phentermine, hydrochlorthiazide and a fiber pill with calcium. I was wondering how dangerous this is and if I could/should stop my antidressant/anxiety medications abruptly or ween myself of them while I am on the weight loss pills.
