Fastin is the same as phentermine, which is a prescription medication that works as an appetite suppressant. Because it is a stimulant, you should talk to your doctor about whether it would be safe/appropriate for you, especially given that you are taking atenolol, which is often used to reduce the heart rate or reduce palpitations.
Generally, phentermine would not be expected to help with weight loss beyond ten pounds or so.
I can't find how long it stays in the system. It is a stim med. if you took only one ...you are probably ok. Lots of warnings about tapering off the med, but that's if you have been using for awhile.
Wait it out. Phentermine is nothing but caffeine, and the pharmacist and doctor should have told you to reduce your caffein intake. If they didnt, then it was in your package insert when you get the medicine filled.
Right now all you can do is wait it out. Rest, drink lots of water and NO MORE ENERGY DRINKS. Never, ever do that again. You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine.
Synthroid is a "Pregnancy Category A." Which is safer than Tylenol (which is a "B"). But you should always confirm all medications with your doctor. Are you on Synthroid for thyroid issues or weight loss? He'd probably keep you on for thyroid problems, but with pregnancy, weight loss isn't safe.

I'm on 30mg phentermine. ive been taking it for 3 weeks now. lost 4lbs, ate one good meal, and gained it back all in one day. I was down to salads and water, with no results what so ever. Crying all the time with panic attacks and scared feelings as well as sleeping issues. I got mine from a weight loss clinic who explained to me it is not the phentermine causing any of this. I feel like a different person snapping at my family who tells me I am different now also. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT CAN LAST? Am I crazy did anyone else experience any of these issues.
Many physicians are not comfortable prescribing multiple weight loss medications at the same time out of concern for increased risk of side effects. Also keep in mind that phentermine is not generally recommended in the long term. It may make more sense to just stick with one of the weight loss medications to see if there are any beneficial effects. It's also a good time to think carefully about how the weight loss occurred while on the new medication.

Losing weight that quickly is not safe and phentermine is not a long term solution.
Both my daughter and her husband were on the phentermine for a while; they both lost fabulously, but within a month of going off it, they both gained back everything they'd lost, plus some. Both are now obese, where they weren't before; just overweight.
Thank you both for the info. Yesterday was only the 2nd day I was on the meds. I think I had an allergic reaction to the hydrochlorothizide. I had these bumps on my face and lip that looked like I had spider bites. I took benadryl and it went away. I am not going to take the hydrochlorothiazide today. If I don't get a reaction then I know it was that and I won't continue with it. If I still get it from the phentermine, I will stop taking it altogether.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Your best bet is to actually call the pharmacist. While doctors SHOULD know the answer to this question, pharmacists are better educated about this. The one thing I can tell you about any weight loss drug is that even though they may be safe to take together, anytime I've taken them (or even green tea), my heart rate goes through the roof and I get jittery. So, even if the drugs are safe together, if you notice increased anxiety, this could be why.

t have a thyroid condition that warrants it. Do you have a thyroid condition? If so, is it being treated adequately? Tri-iodothyronine, by itself is bad enough, let alone having an amphetamine like drug, plus both stimulants and depressant...... WOW.
Phentermine is another stimulant.
I don't ever recommend pills for losing weight, because, even those that work, only work as long as you take them, and none of them are intended for long term use.

Phentermine can alter your blood sugar levels, if you are going to try using it please use it with caution and monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently... if you notice changes and if your blood sugars are becoming too low then stop taking phentermine, and seek further advice about what you could use instead of phentermine. Remember that diabetes should be your priority.
