Hi does anyone know of a weight loss clinic in Houston that will prescribe phentermine. I am 5'3 and i have recently gained 10 lbs and now I weigh 143 lbs..I went to a weight loss clinic that I went to a couple of years ago to lose wight, but they will not prescrie it to me, the say that I am not overweight enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am 40 years old - took phentermine for one month and lost 10 pounds. I stopped taking the medication and one week later (during my cycle when I usually have mild acne) - I have the worst acne in my life!!! It has to be from the phentermine. I'm going to be seeking out other ways to continue weight loss. Trying to get into a dermetologist because this acne seems to just keep spreading and doesn't seem to be going away.

I have been taking Phentermine for 2 and a 1/2 months now. I started taking it in April almost on the same day as my period started. Almost one week after my period stopped another one began. So I made a dr appointment. The doctor done a pap and tested me for all the std's....and felt me for cist and everything came up normal....she said that starting the new medication was the possible reasoning for the 2 periods that month and to contact her if it continued.

Well Im only 2 months shy of that date and I still have 45 lbs to lose. I would really like to find a dr in SC that prescribes phentermine and offers B12 shots for overweight people. Im very self concious about my weight and have been really depressed to point I have had to be medicated for months for it. I too have done Phentermine (it is banned in canada now) and lost weight. You cannot be on it forever and your advice is bang on!! You do have to get up and move to burn calories. The food tracker in here is awesome!! It really makes you look where your food calories are coming from.

Normally, you would become tired from too much drinking, but while taking phentermine and drinking it makes you able to stay up and drink a lot more and affects your Mental State in a Bad way and a lot of the times, you regret what your actions were the night before when you were drinking while on Phentermine. Hi everyone, I know I have ask you guys about the sub, Trileptal and Lexapro making you gain weight so I ask my psyc. about it and he looked in his little book and said that it is not reported to really increase appetite but there are studies that say that lexapro does but he also said but the pill dosen't weigh 10 pounds so I think you will be ok.

As with other medications in this class mood effects are quite variable. But there are case reports of mania and psychosis, so it probably does have somewhat of a "mood elevating" effect.

I did loose 51 pounds in 6 months in which was great, plus full of energy while on it. Though in the last year it has all came back, plus now my energy level has sunk. I am staying at a steady rate now by light exercising and eating right on a daily bases. Not a good rate lol but, steady. Beware of the phentermine! With your BP issues I would say you should get away from the phentermine.
