I have been taking phentermine on and off for almost 15 years, I have never needed it for weight loss only the amazing energy it gave me, I know it is a little late to decide they probably are doing my health no good at all but hey, better late than never. I have tried hundreds of times to stop taking them but the chronic fatigue I get keeps me going back.

I'm not sure that you need all of this medication. I take Vyvanse, which is frequently prescribed for both ADD/ADHD and binge eating disorder. I don't take it for weight loss, but I know that it is often used for that purpose. I agree that the two medications you are on seem like an odd combo. I took Adderall in the past but felt very jittery and anxious. Vyvanse does not give me that feeling.

Amber, You can always try a different type of ADD medication--I know there is Ritalin and Dexedrine if you're going for another amphetamine. There are also some other non-stimulant ADD meds out there too that might work better for your situation. XR 10mg seems like a decently low dose so maybe it's just the Adderall that isn't mixing right with whatever else you're taking or your brain chemistry.

I've been taking phentermine for 4 days now. The first day I felt good,lots of energy everything was fine. Everyone is different and what might be too high a blood pressure for me could be just fine for you. From what I've read, phentermine is not usually given to those with high blood pressure. I agree that you should talk to your doctor and make sure he understands your blood pressure issue. I also agree that you should look eliminate hypothyroidism as a cause of your weight issues.

If you do just that, you will likely see an effect. Then add in some exercise. But phentermine tablets are stimulants. Pure and simple. Anyone with at heart issues are not recommended to ever take it. It's really a problematic substance for many people. m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
