Hello, I have Hypothyroidism and have been trying to lose 10lbs for the past couple of years, I spoke to a pharmacist and she suggested I ask my doctor for Phentermine. Has anyone tried this before and is it safe with taking Amour Thyroid 180mg. I'm 5'8" and weigh 152 and want to be 143, I work out 6x's a week cardio for 45-60 mins. and every other day 30 mins weight lifting.

Is it OK to use phentermine and levothyroxine together? If not what diet medications are safe to use with levothyroxine? I suffer with such low energy, even though my levels are good.

Yes, people can do just fine on synthroid or levothyroxine, but I was speaking from my own experience. A lot of times people need both T3 and T4 and that was my issue and got rid of my palpitations. I was simply offering advice because I have dealt with the same issue. All final decisions are something that have to be worked out between the patient and physician.

I have been on phentermine for a little over a month because I had problems shedding post-partum weight, but then found out that I also have hypothyroidism and was prescribed with Levothyroxine (by the same doctor and kept me on phentermine). I was overwhelmed when my pharmacy printed out a long *WARNING OF DRUG INTERACTION* sheet telling me of all the possible side effects etc... I have gone from taking a vitamin a day to 3 prescription drugs, that have possible hazardous interactions.

The last 2 months, my doctor put me on phentermine. I went in today for my rx renewal and I have not lost 1 pound. She feels the constipation is why, but I do not. My stomach has been in better shape the last 4 months than it was this time last year. I work 2 jobs and am on my feet constantly, I eat healthy (low fat diet, no carbs, fruits, veggies and meats only) as well as work out 2-4 times a week, and play volleyball 2 hrs 3x a week.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.

I have some spotting and cramps. I am sure it will be a rough one! I did stop the phentermine over the weekend and started back yesterday(Monday). Maybe thats what triggered it....who knows. Being a woman shouldnt be this much stress and hard work!

I have used adipex(phentermine) and have had the B12 shots before and it was awesome. That was before I had kids and moved to NC and then to SC where I currently reside. my tsh and t4 were tested and they were tsh: 0.0 and t4: 8.2. four days later they were tsh:0.26 and t4: 0.66. what made it drop so quick? i had my thyroid removed 3 years ago.

I went to a weight Loss clinic and they did a Thyroid test. My T3, Free was 2.7 - My T4, Total was 8.7 - My TSH was 0.918 - My Thyroid Peroxidase Abs was 5.5 They said I was low in Thyroid numbers and gave me a Thyroid pill of 1gr. What are your thoughts?

I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.

I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I agree with msme7..................except, maybe you need to come down off it slowly, rather than "cold turkey". Talk to your doctor............. Once you get off it, please feel free to come back and let us help you lose your weight the healthy way.........

Symptoms are the most important diagnostic for hypothyroidism, followed by Free T4 and Free T3. You have many symptoms of being hypo and your Free T4 level is way too low. Your Free T3 level is 3.5 because your body is trying to maintain thyroid effects. Taken together they are also strong indicators of being hypothyroid. When you were put on Levo I expect that the dosage was not enough to get your FT4 optimal, which is usually about mid-range, at minimum.

Im getting the B-12 and lipo shots as well. Maybe I will still get results if I stop taking the phentermine and stick to the shots. Does anyone have any feedback or advice.
