One of my kids has taken phentermine and it did help a little. However she has just this week learned she has hypothyroidism and that may be another reason her metabolism is sluggish. She is now on thyroid medicine and hoping it may be somewhat helpful in the big picture. Wish I could be more helpful. I hope you get answers soon. Good luck!

I take a half of 37.2 phentermine and .150 synthroid can that throw my TSH out of wack. Are you suppose to take these two together. What can it cause if anything?

I would look at the birth control pill in relation to your thyroid medication and disease, and also the consequences of mixing the birth control and the Prozac. You may find that switching birth control will allow for treatment other than Prozac. Just a thought, but I think it has merit. Keeping up on your bloodwork and getting stable at the correct level is the best medicine. If Prozac helps short term, go for it. I'm taking xanax.

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.

I'm currently taking xanax, and will start prozac tomorrow. Does anyone know of any possible interaction between xanax and prozac taken together? My cousin was on Phentermine but not Sub or Lex....I think that if you took the sub along with the Phentermine, you would get real nervous and shaky...maybe even heart palpitations and put you into panic. I was diagnosed with PVC's 15 years ago and was put on Metoprolol 25 mg. If birth control is helping mood swings, the problem is likely hormonal, and Prozac doesn't address that issue. If she's been on the meds for as long as you say, it's unlikely to cause nausea now, unless she started the birth control recently. Personally, I wouldn't want a 15 year old to be taking birth control -- playing with hormones is probably not the healthiest thing to do for anyone, other means of birth control are safer for health.

m not really sure if this helps but I used to be on a maintenance dose of Prozac at 60mg. As for drug interactions, I really couldn't say. I'm taking Prozac 30 mg and I've been prescribed Buspirone 15 mg for anxiety. I'm super paranoid about medication in general, but I also have vistaril 50 mg for anxiety. i called y dr several times to let them know and she switched me to prisqu (some sis to prozac) b/c she thought it might be b/c prozac...after getting worse and ER trip and worse docs kept blowing me off as i was just exasterbating my symtoms of side effects....i finally goggled my meds on drug interactions and all these were MAJOR drug interactions causing something called serotonin syndrome or serotonin toxity...this can be fatal and i felt like i was going to die...

Did you ask your doctor about taking Phen with your BB? Ask your doctor or pharmacist.. I would never take any type of amphetamine with an arrhythmia; all kinds of things could happen. I think that's what started my major problems with my NSVT runs that made my heart stop.
