phentermine and panic attacks

I started having chest pains when i was 19 when i took metabolife ( the old one they recalled years ago ) . They would lead to horriable panic attacks. i couldnt get a breath it seemed. Well, they went away for year after a month or so . A about a month ago i started taking Addipex , a weight loss pill. After 2 weeks of taking it i had the most horribale panic attack you can imagine. I had loss vision, consiciousness, and since of reality. I felt like i died. I cant even thinking about it.

At first I slept for 6 days not I am angey and depressed. Crying all the time with panic attacks and scared feelings as well as sleeping issues. I got mine from a weight loss clinic who explained to me it is not the phentermine causing any of this. I feel like a different person snapping at my family who tells me I am different now also. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT CAN LAST? Am I crazy did anyone else experience any of these issues.

I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.

Felt great while I was on them but after I stopped taking them I sufferred some serious side effects such as depression, paranoia, panic attacks and palpitations. My hair also went very thin and my doctor said I wass uffering a mini-breakdown most probably caused by the diet pills. I was at uni at the time and had to take a year off as well as taking anti-depressants. Am fine now but would never touch these again despite ongoing weight battles!

I dont know about the diet pills u r taking but what u describe sounds like panic attacks/anxiety attacks

I am on Phentermine a diet pill, I have been taking it for 4 months. I have Anxiety and I am also Bipolar which I haven't had any Anxiety for over a year now. For about a month now I have been having Anxiety attacks and Depression really bad. I fought out I shouldn't take Phentermine if I have Anxiety or Depression. So I was going to get back on my meds. that I used to take which was Welbrutain XL and Xanxa .

I have tried a few times without success panic sets in about the 3 or 4 day and I just re-order them. The cost and the things I do while taking them is starting to affect my marriage.

My cousin was on Phentermine but not Sub or Lex....I think that if you took the sub along with the Phentermine, you would get real nervous and shaky...maybe even heart palpitations and put you into panic. I'm just guessing based on what each drug does and how the affects would be if you joined those two actions...but I would also suggest studying on both and search the web for the interactions....

yes, I was taking levothyroxine and had the same issues. I switched to dessicated thyroid (thyroid NP or Armour) and have not had the problem since. Google them and you will find a lot of info or check out *************************....good luck!

Take Tums or something similar for the heart burn, and go back and get your Paxil re-evaluated, or switched to a different medication.. This could be anxiety with panic attacks, and the more you worry about it, the worse it will get.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

Anyone have issues with panic attacks? I had them probably 3 or 4 times in my life and never with my first pregnancy. Now with this one (having twins) I've already had 2 and I'm only 12 weeks. Both my parents take anxiety meds. I never have had to and don't want to but it's kind of scary. I'm never like stressed or thinking about anything at the time. It just suddenly hits me and I can't breath and I feel overwhelmed and trapped.

My panic attacks went away completely when I stpooed drinking, stopped smoking and went back to church and was healed from all my issues and worries and freak out s. then...I stopped excersising and started drinking again and i cant even look at a line and I panic beyond belief. I get panic attacks, sometimes with no warning and no obvious trigger - these are at night when I'm about to go to sleep I suddenly can't breathe and my heart is racing. Then I get the ones brought on by outside stressors, ie, situations I can't cope with.

They can be used to control panic attacks......for what reason were they prescribed to you? If for panic attacks, and they're not controlling them, call your doctor and let him/her know. Take care.
