phentermine

1401296 tn?1280799533 I went to my first visit at a doctor in Victoria, Texas last Friday. They gave me phentermine 30mg with 5htp combined and Lipo B injectibles to do at home. I 'm trying to figure out if anyone else has tried this method of dieting and is it safe? I'm at the highest weight I've ever been at (257) and very desperate, but also cautious. Please anyone with information out there let me know.
Avatar n tn Though rare, euphoria can be a side effect of Adipex-P® (Phentermine). Similar to amphetamines, phentermine increases the release of norepinephrine and dopamine from nerve terminals that can cause the “calming effect” you're describing. It could also simply just be that you're feeling better with the weight loss and therefore in a better mood.
729886 tn?1232662881 well last week i worked out at curves and i had noticed a tingling sensation in my left arm along with that my heart rate was around 185 i didnt quite no what to make of this until my arm kept going numb and i started having slight chest pain in my left breast well with that being said i went to the emergency room to be sure i wasnt having a stroke and turns out my pressure was 152/132 the doctor believes i have a pinched nerve in my neck wich is causing my tingling and numbness ..
Avatar n tn m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Avatar m tn My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
Avatar f tn the harm from phentermine occurred in people who took the drug for long periods of time, and in those cases it was thought to damage the heart valves-- and that would not cause the pain you are describing, rather requiring special imaging techniques to even find evidence that it has occurred. The panic attack may have been related, as all stimulants tend to increase anxiety. And during a panic attack almost any symptom can occur, including the things you describe during your panic attacks.
551496 tn?1215614366 I have some spotting and cramps. I am sure it will be a rough one! I did stop the phentermine over the weekend and started back yesterday(Monday). Maybe thats what triggered it....who knows. Being a woman shouldnt be this much stress and hard work!
494656 tn?1209640771 I have used adipex(phentermine) and have had the B12 shots before and it was awesome. That was before I had kids and moved to NC and then to SC where I currently reside. I have had two kids and Im approximately 45 lbs overweight. My daughter is 7 months old and I know they say to give it the same amount of time it took to put it on. Well Im only 2 months shy of that date and I still have 45 lbs to lose.
Avatar n tn I'm in the process of switching to a new dentist and the new patient form I had to fill out asked "Have you ever taken any combination of the drug known as 'fen-phen'. This includes phentermine (Adipex, Fastin, etc) and/or fenfluramine (Pondimin)." What does it matter if I have taken this? I haven't taken fen-phen, but I have and do occasionally take phentermine?
Avatar m tn its started after i gt acid reflux. and i also got high blood cholestrol. my BP and diabetic is normal and most of the time i worried about my health and cant relax. i already do a anxiety test in online and the result come around 80% and its prove that i got anxiety , is this caused by anxiety or something else??
Avatar m tn It is almost like a numb like feeling maybe a slight tingling. ...but it comes and goes. Could I have caused nerve damage to the area? and if so would the pain come and go as it seems to be doing on a daily basis. Sometimes it appears to get red and others it just looks like the rest of my skin. I also noticed on both corners of my mouth I have what appears to be angular chelitis.... this has been present for about 10 weeks.
1776001 tn?1315065510 Healing would depend on the type and severity of nerve injury and the nerve(s) involved. A nerve conduction study (NCS) may be able to give a rough idea of the injury and the healing. It would be best to discuss this in detail with your neurologist/ orthopedician. Meanwhile you may benefit from medications that help in relieving neuropathic pain. Hope this helps. Take care!

Avatar f tn if one has nerve damage in the retina....will this eventually clear and and go away?
Avatar f tn This is a common complaint that is often attributed to nerves regenerating over time. Unfortunately, due to invasive surgery, tissue and nerve damage and especially if you had radiation therapy the discomfort could last for a long period of time. If your pain is constant I think you should be seen in a Pain Center, because there are definitely treatments for it.

Avatar n tn Hello, I am desperate for help. I recently had a dental implant on my top right, next to a root canaled tooth which had been done 20 years ago. The dentist told me to have a veneer on this tooth since it was quite yellow. After the implant crown and veneer was put in, I started to feel numbness on my top and bottom lips. I have had this numbness for nearly 3 months now.
664710 tn?1226929596 Christina, Damage only occurs in the Central Nervous System (the brain and the spine) in MS. None of the nerve outside of that CNS are damaged. Since the brain and the spine direct all of the body, of course you are going to have symptoms in your arms, legs, hands, feet, etc. But there is no damage to those nerves. Only the nerves that tells that parts what to do. Does that answer your question, dearheart? If not, let me know.
Avatar n tn Much will depend on contributing factors, the location of the nerve damage, the severity of the damage and the cause of the damage. Some treatments available, again based on location and cause are steroid injections, various medications, nerve blocks, a rhizotomy (Radiofrequency ablation) and more. If you can be more specific we may have more suggestions for you. If you are suffering from nerve damage my heart goes out to you.
Avatar m tn I agree with Gellila. When I had my wisdome teeth out I had one that was very close to the nerve (looking via xray) and so I had a couple options, I chose for it to still be removed knowing if he accidentally nicked the nerve I would have some numbing in my lower right jaw/face (lip and chin) and that's what happened. It did get better in time though - the numbness I felt a few days post removal is worse than it was a few months later.
Avatar f tn Traumatic neuropathy may be managed by systemic administration of gabapentin and/or amitriptyline with titrating dosage.nutritional supplement with Vitamin B1,B6, B12, folic acid and omega 3 fatty acid is helpful for nerve healing. Seeing a neurologist who is experienced in managing traumatic neuropathy is advised.
Avatar f tn nerve conduction was fine in lower legs/shin but i had reduced conduction (no bell curve at all) in upper legs/thigh. what does this mean? do i have nerve damage? and from what? what does this mean? could i have reduced conduction if my sciatic nerve is irritated? doctor also did the voodoo test. i heard static in my lower legs when i applied my muscles. i didn't hear any static in my upper legs. thanks.
