I have been off of lortab since Jan 2008.......havent touched an opiate since at all ! I take regular drug test weekly, and within the last 2 months,I have had 2 false postives for opiates ..... I got a confirmation of both test, and they both came up for codeine . The first test 3,000 nanos, the second 6,000 nanos !!!! I am STUNNED !!!!! The only thing that I take is my anxiety meds ( Citilopram,40 MGS) .....

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times New Service, a study of 161 prescription and over the counter medications showed that 65 of them produced false positive results in the most widely administered urine test.
I hear of this happening all the time. The clinic I see takes blood and urine samples. It quite a costly test and I've never had an issue as far as I know.
When I was 22, I took the drugs adderall, lexapro and ephedrine/phentermine (diet pills-occasionally). One night, my heart rate shot up and would not come back down, don’t matter what I tried. I went to the emergency room and they said it was the drugs I was taking. When I was 23, I began having syncope episodes and got a pacemaker. Looking back, I believe the syncope episodes were caused by the adderall and lexapro. However, I have had chest pains ever since.
I started taking 24mg of ephedrine a day and I felt more energetic, a high mood, decreased appetite and a bit more weight loss. However, I ended up taking it pretty much for 5 months upping the dose to around 60mg, due to being scared to stop due to the energy it gave me to complete assignments.
The appetite suppressant properties had ended after the first month as had the highs. I was obsessed with nutrition, my body image, easily agitated, sometimes depressed and wanting to be even thinner.
I was wondering where the best place for me would be to find a complete list of medicines I should stay away from with Long QT syndrome. I have a list but it is over 5 years old, and I am in need of a new one! Thank You!
The thing that started me on the path to a-fib 13 yrs ago was ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine as found (or used to be found) in Nyquil. The ephedrine I got from Metabolife, a diet aid popular in the 90's. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole now. I'm not sure but I think epinephrine might cause problems too. Just always check the ingredients on the bottle and if there's any doubt call your Dr.s office or at least your local pharmacist.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Monday, but clean Tuesday. He came down with a cold ladt weekend and I gave him Dayquil Sunday night and Monday, and he swears he hasn't taken anything else; he's never taken amphetamines in the past so I doubt he would now, but I can't be 100% sure. The sample was sent for additional testing, which will be back Tuesday. I've read a few accounts os DayQuil effecting drug tests online, but wondered if anyone here has any knowledge of this.
My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
Cough syrups with ephedrine are regulated and placed behind a counter or in the pharmacy and sold in limited numbers in many stores. Like ActingBrandNew said, anything can be addictive, but stimulants like ephedrine are the most widely used and addictive drugs in the world. Tobacco and coffee are at the top of the world's addiction scale. Ephedrine may be a natural root, but it is the natural form of speed. If you THINK you may be dealing with addiction, you probably are.
I've been taking monthly B12 injections for about 2 years, and 37.5 mg phentermine daily for about a month, and I haven't lost any weight at all. The four and a half pounds that I've lost, I attribute to the boot camp that joined two weeks ago.
I am supposed to start these tomorrow but am a little concerned if Phentermine and a Beta Blocker can be taken safely together under my certain circumstances and if I should have any concerns regarding my already strained heart, while on something like Phentermine?

Now I have days where I can barely function at all due to depression, but if I take 12mg of ephedrine, some caffeine and 1/2 an aspirin I feel normal to great.
I've only been on actual depression medications once - I took Paxil. It didn't seem to work well and the side effects of getting off it were horrible.
Is the ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin mix a reasonable solution to my depression? Any dangers? Or should I try another antidepressant?
I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious . I already take a anti anxiety med clonazepam for accational panic attacks.
I prescribed60 mg of adderall but one week I had to take left over phentermine and 10mg adderall and my focusing was great and energy and I still do take 1/3 of phentermine a day.
Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I was not on a ketogenic diet. After that visit i have been extremely ill. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. blood sugar dropping rapidly when after exercise.
I agree with msme7..................except, maybe you need to come down off it slowly, rather than "cold turkey". Talk to your doctor.............
