So I have been on oxycodone and roxicet ( not at the same time, the dr will write it for one or the other) Both meds are 5-325 strength. It seems like everytime I get a script for the roxicet I end up getting very sick to my stomach and vomiting. I am taking the medication as prescribed. I know the two medicines are basically the samething so my question is, why is one medication making me sick to my stomach while the other one does not?

ROXIES is a slang name for Roxicet. Roxicet is the generic name for Percocet. (oxycodone + tylonol.) Very potent, highly addictive but very effective schedule 2 narcotic. Illegal to have without a prescription. As to why it is being snorted, snorting is a way addicts use certain drugs as a quicker way to achieve a high than ingesting. Percocet is Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. Percocet is a brand name and there is no liquid Percocet. There is a liquid version of Oxycodone and Acetaminophen called Roxicet, however. It's not necessarily measured in mg's though. It's measured in ml's in which 5ml contaings 5mg of Oxycodone and 325mg of Acetaminophen. The next doctor visit I was given Percocet and that alone worked wonders for the pain and made me feel loopy. I went a couple days without taking it because I was pain free and started feeling anxious, had hot and cold flashes, and restlessness. I saw my surgeon a 3rd time and told him what I was going through with the Perococet and he gave me this stuff called Roxicet.

Well... Most of you know me, for those who don't, I'm a Percocet/Roxicet addict. I WAS taking up to 150 mgs a day of oxycodone. I tried to taper to 30 mgs and then quit in December then failed miserably. My new plan is going VERY, VERY WELL! I'm using Lexapro to address my anxiety issues and depression, and I've been taking it for almost two months and it's been BEAUTIFUL! My life is coming back! Anyway, I'm down to (GASP!) ONE pill a day! Yahooooo!

I have 2 herniated discs in my lower lumbar spine. I was perscribed 7.5mgs of percocet, then upped to 10mgs, referred to Pain Management and ultimately upped to 15mg Roxi's. I can get by with taking 3-4 percs on a GOOD day (manageable pain) to 6-10 percs on a BAD day (usually when the weathers bad or working really hard that day - I clean houses). I never used to have a problem going without them for YEARS it didn't effect me, I thought I was unbeatable, untouchable. Until now.

Fentanyl is a stonger form of an opioid. Opiate and opioid mean the same thing: Opiate is an adjective while opioid is a noun. Percocet is an opioid as is fentanyl. They are synthetic which means they are man made and not derived from a plant. Good job on getting off the Percocet!

t have had any kind of withdrawal going to Percocet from Vicodin. Whatever occured was unrelated. Percocet is stronger than Vicodin. Try not to over think this. It will be what it is...it won't be the worst thing you'll go through. Just not pleasant. It's truly like having the flu...

I've been on doctor prescribed Roxicet (5/325) for the last 4 years due to neck and shoulder pain. I had gotten to the point where I was taking 2 pills every 4-6 hours.
