Common Questions and Answers about Penlac otc

penlac

Avatar m tn Soon after removing the nail tips, I started noticing my nails on my thumbs started to change colors. I went to the dermatologist and they prescribed Penlac to treat the nail fungus. After using Penlac for a while I noticed that it was not working for me. After that, I went back to the dermatologist and they did a culture and they said it was a fungus.
Avatar f tn Sentinel brings up a good point ,however beware of some anti-fungals as many of them are not liver friendly. best to ok even OTC remedies with your doctor who is aware of your HCV best..
Avatar n tn I was okay trying to control(possibly) the fungus on my toes and my thumb and index fingernails. Now it needs like what my wife is having(black dot on her thumb) now resembles what I had once upon a time. I don't want her to fight with fungus. I did see a dermatolgist yesterday and she said my toes are likely fungus-related but she had I didn't have enough nail for samples. Prescribed me Penlac(sp?) and asked me to go back when the toenails grow out... I am so confused now.
Avatar f tn Call your dr & see what she recommends some drs say robutussin is okay and others don't allow it so just call
Avatar f tn I honestly wouldn't worry too too much about it. So many of us have taken so many otc meds, drank alcohol, eaten things we should prior to finding out we were pregnant. Absolutely mention it to your Dr., but I suspect he or she will tell you not to worry about it. Also, most Dr.'s will tell you that tylenol is fine during pregnancy. Congrats to you, and wishing you a healthy and happy remainder!

1278336 tn?1271816114 can anyone offer any advice on otc drugs that will help me get through this period. im working towards day three of kicking an opiate addiction. Ive been abusing hydrocodone for a few years now, kicked with ALOT of tramadol week before last for nearly five days, ran out of tramadol on the fifth day and went and got hydrocodone. This time, I only had a few tramadol to work with, so I took four yesterday and four today.

Avatar n tn Does anyone know of an effictive otc pain med. that you can take on a regular basis. I have liver problems and don,t like to take tynelol...Was on oxycodone for 11/2 yrs. but recently got off of it. Big time hip pain...
Avatar f tn I think I need to have something like cytomel to add t3 to my meds. My question is....if i bought some of the otc pills, is it like cytomel or Armour? Would it hurt to take extra pills like that in addition to my levothyroxine? Should i ask my doctor? Why can you buy natural thyroid hormone products and yet need a prescription for others? I just dont want to do something stupid.
1063764 tn?1272821064 Hey, I was curious how many of you have tried using otc thyroid supplements, and how well they worked. I was researching, and found this, Solaray Thyroid Blend Sp-26 Kelp. http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=SO-1254 Has anyone tried this one, and how well did it work? If there are any others that work/ don't work very well it would really help me out to know. Thanks so much. (I'm hypothyroid).
Avatar n tn Although there are supplements that may help you feel somewhat better, perhaps temporarily, hormone replacement is the only thing that is going to make you feel well. There are no OTC supplements that contain measurable thyroid hormones. What about finding a doctor who understands thyroid, the limitations of the ranges and will pay attention to your symptoms? If you interview prospective doctors over the phone, you can really increase your odds of getting a good one...
Avatar f tn ve heard about taking Robitussin or Mucinex (guaifenesin) as and OTC aide and was wondering if anyone has had any success with it? Also, I've heard great reviews for Daily Wellness FertilityBlend from GNC. Is that one any good or is just a standard Prenatal vitamin a better choice?
Avatar n tn I have a pretty intense fear of doctors and especially dentists to the point that I can't sleep before an appointment, my heart races even at the thought of an appointment. I can avoid certain appointments but other I unfortunately have to do. I don't want to go to a doctor to get a prescription because well that's the whole issue. Are there any OTC meds I could try that might help even a little?
Avatar f tn Just curious if anyone has tried the OTC gender test. I won't have my anatomical sonogram until June 14th, and I'm getting antsy to find out what my peanut is. My sis-in-law used one and hers was accurate. Just wondering your thoughts...
