I believed it was pink eye and when i went to the doctor they prescribed Pataday as well as some other drops i would apply 4 times a day. My eyes got better and i did not wear my contacts at all. They said to only put your contacts in after 2 days of my eyes bein completely white .
Weeks passed and i did that. Then i noticed my eyes started getting red again. Not itchy or hurting just red. So about 3 weeks later i got checked out again.
I have very sensitive skin and use only products made for a sensitive skin individuals, but in my case, the cornors of my eye itching like mad nothing helps me but those Pataday drops. Just like the blepheritis. There can be many causes but for many folks it is jsut something they live with and control with there are flareups, but those of affected with it have to learn to live with it. In my case I have to use a steroid ointment.
I was scared and revisited the doctor. The doctor prescribed me Pataday. On using Pataday for a day, I was afraid if it could resolve the issue. I took a second opinion from a diff. Doctor. The doctor prescribed me Lotopred, Ikul, Systane ultra eye drops for every four hours a week and said not to wear lenses for 10 days. I followed the instructions and my eyes got back to normal.
Allergy eye drops plus steroid drops have helped a bit, but my ophthalmologist wants me to end the steroid drops so I have already started cutting back to only one drop a day, rather than two. The itching is already become unbearable. I have run allergy tests with my allergist and dermatologist and have kept away from all things I am allergic to (which are many) but there has been no change in these reactions. I have now added a puffy, itchy lower lip to the problem.
I went to my opthamologist. The doctor prescribed Tobramycin and Pataday. Using both eye drops the condition got better with just a bit in the right eye.
My opthamologist took me off the antibiotic and told me to do the Pataday (allergy drops). Which I have. Yet, my right eye is tearing excessively and my right eye is tearing a little bit. The inner tear duct is very itchy and sting at times.I already got another opionion and was told that it's allergies.
I was diagnosed with GPC and recently ended the use of steroid drops. Ever since I've stoped the steroid drops, I've woken up with crusty, glued eyes. Could the lingering GPC be causing this? I've been doing artificial tears multiples times a day and Pataday drops 2x a day. I have a follow up appointment soon, I'm thinking about trying to move it up if this is something serious.
Systane, Blink, Refresh, Soothe and something for allergies like Patanol or Pataday. If your allergy is bad enough to require a steroid then lotemax, or pred mild would be better choices.

He said my eyes were very dry and it looked like the redness, itchy, fuzzy vision, and dryness was from allergies. He gave me 2 different drops and said we could try these to see if it helped or if the symptoms returned after I stopped using them, there were Pataday and Xibrom. Like most I didn't ask the questions I should have.
How do you feel about using these for this problem? Will they effect my AMD?
I have used Restasis and have tried allergy drops. My eyes are always red and feel as if I have something in them (which is the bumps under my eyelids). Does anyone know what I can do about this. I've been to so many eye Dr's. and I cannot get them cleared up. I used to wear contact lenses and now I can no longer wear them. It has been almost 5 years since I was able to wear my contacts. Some Dr's. want to give me steriod drops, but I do not want to put them in my eyes.
I had temporary (week long) eye plugs put in my eyes due to dry eyes along with Pataday once a day eye drop for eye allergies. My eyes plugs were put in on Wednesday afternoon. How long does it take for the plugs to work, I mean my eyes aren't burning like before, but they're still somewhat red. I don't know if it's cleared a little, but I don't see a big difference. How long before my eye plugs clear up my dry eyes.

I got antibiotic steroid eye drops and used them for 10 days. I also was prescribed Pataday once a day before bed, and I use over the counter Alaway once or twice during the day, too. The eczema went away, but bags didn't completely go away but they improved. Every few days I use SteriLid in the shower to make sure my eyes and lashes are completely clean, and I never use gel eye drops anymore, only preservative free tear drops for moisturizing if needed.
Hi - for quite a few years I suffered with allergic rhinitis, eyes would water , constant sneezing, itchy roof of mouth etc etc. various things sparked it - dust, car exhaust fumes,car air freshners, cut grass and for some reason private collection perfume. I was given neoclarityn , beconase and eye drops. This brought it under control and for the last few years I haven't had that.
I have NEVER had seasonal allergies before and I am 45. She prescribed Pataday. The drops have helped, but I still have symptoms, especially when I work on my computer. I returned to my optician for lens adjustments twice. I am still having a lot of difficulty. My optician says it has nothing to do with my new glasses, but it seems too coincidental. Help!
The doctor has me taking antihistimine drops ( Pataday) in my eyes, Omnaris Nasal Spray and , Zyrtec by mouth. No relief in a week and a half so far. My upper eyelids are now red and irratated all the time. I was thinking Oculo plastic Surgeon or Dermatologists as my only remaining options, I have been to all others including allergy doctor and ENT .
tears--I went from 3x/day to 8x (used non-preserv free drops--refresh liquigel, systane and optive). The redness cont...fine in a.m. to red in eve.--more so in the left. After a 1 mo. of this, I saw my eye dr. for my yearly. I told him I work on the comp. all day and have for yrs and no itchiness. He said it was allergies & gave me Pataday. It stung so I discont. & called & he put me on Elestat. After 2-1/2 wks, the redness cont.
m told I have no signs of infection, ocular surface is good, Schirmer test shows mild dry eye with use of punctal plugs, small sign of allergy. I tried a short course of steriod drops which relieved my symptoms, but they returned as soon as I stopped. Restasis for three months has offered no improvement. Pataday and Acular provide no benefit either. I am at a loss as to what to do next. I would greatly appreciate any direction or ideas.
Hi. I was wondering if i could use Pataday if i have ocular herpes? Are there any risks that i should be aware of when using Pataday?
I am at my wits end. I have been getting eye infection after eye infection for over a year. At first I went to my regular doctor, then my optometrist and now an ophthalmologist. At first they were every 3-4 months, then monthly, and now they are occurring two weeks apart. Ophthalmologist thought it was my contacts but I've been wearing them for decades with no problems. I switched to dailys anyway and got an infection a week later.
I have worn contacts for many years,but recently they stopped making the style I have worn for most of those years. Since then I have had a lot of trouble. I will get a new pair/brand and they Wil be ok for a few weeks them they are blurry and uncomfortable. When I get checked the Dr always says they aren't fitting right and moving too much. Recently he noted giant capillary conjunctivitis, and gave me pataday drops.
