Ondansetron is Zofran hun. Its just the generic name for zofran. Even though theres a lawsuit, id say its more of a money maker. I took it both pregnancies and my babies came out fine. Youve got to look at whether the benefits outweigh the risk with ANY medication. If youre miserable and need to eat for baby, take it. My advice is try to only take it when u really need it, not on a regular basis. Stop as soon as symptoms ease up. Lots of water too.
Ondansetron is the generic for Zofran. Why would you refuse it? It's safe to take or your Dr wouldn't prescribe it to you. There's other meds out there if you don't want to take it. My Dr gave me Diclegis. It helped take the edge off the nausea.
I agree, get some Zofran/Ondansetron. It works wonders. This is why they give to cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery patients. It is in a class of medications called 5-HT3 receptor antagonists and works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting. I just got a bottle of 30 Ondansetron on Medicare for $5.
There are also other similar meds you can take so you should find a solution and not have to deal with what you have been.

Ondansetron is only recommended for use during pregnancy when benefit outweighs risk.
The fourth time ended up 2 months in the hospital where I had clots they had no clue what was wrong with me but called in a very smart vascular surgeon who discovered I had BCS. I was doing pretty well and my BCS had been well managed moved to TX in 2013 but 3 months ago my problems started returning and I saw a GI Dr who became part of my new team of physicians and he told me there is no sign of BCS. What?! Upon coming to TX I have come across many Dr who do not even know what Budd Chiari is.

I can't seem to find stats anywhere on the Web for Stage I Breast Cancer, if you've had BCS but no radiation. Even stats for Tamoxifen,eg, all seem to assume you've had radiation. I had a lumpectomy; lymph nodes are clear, the tumour is only 1.1 cm, invasive tubular, as well as DCIS and one focal point of LCIS.
I went to the er and got ondansetron (generic for zofran) but the doc prescribed it bc I literally kept nothing but one icee a day down. I got a script for 12 and thats it. All I know is they do not prescribe it to one indivodual in large quantities and that bc it can affect and stay in your blood for so long they have to monitor how much an individual gets.
i have never had a pimple there before. i thought it was bcs the liquid from the pimple would usually come out..heres the thing. it keeps refilling. its been like that for about 2 weeks now .i went to the doctor .she saw it didnt really touch it and she gave me Betrion(it cant be an STD bcs i havent had sex for over a year and a half) to sum it up every time i press the liquid out it refills about every 12 hours .it still looks like that zit thats deep .it wouldnt bother me that much .

Yesterday i went to an eye dr in abu dhabi bcs my baby girl 3 yrs was blinking for some days so she had allergy and while doing the eye test exam i felt sad bcs an astigmatism appears on her eyes. 1.75 and 1.25. the dr told me that she may need glasses but on her 4 or 5th yr and another dr told me that this is slight and she may not need glasses at all but only while reading or watching tv.
I was put on 50 mg of zoloft a month ago and have had nausea ever since. It seems like it's been getting worse over the last couple of weeks. Yesterday I was prescribed Ondansetron ODT 4mg. It doesn't seem to help. Will the nausea go away?
