the only way to get rid of the angina was to pop three nitroglycerin tabs. All the while I asked every doctor, could it be my thyroid? oh no they said. Then my doc ordered a cat scan of the heart and the report showed an enlarged thyroid . . .so he did a blood test and my thyroid had gone hyper. GEEZ these guys are stupid. So he lowered my dose from 100 to 88 of thyroid and I could feel a difference in two days!!!!! So we will check the levels in six weeks and see where the numbers are.
Hi. I've been on these boards a long time. My last failed treatment had to fail because about 9 weeks into the treatment, I developed retinal hemmorhaging. My husband (we've divorced now, but not because of this). He had to do my shot that night into the back of the forearm because I felt so awful. As he prepared the medication, I had to keep correcting what he was doing.
I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs.
I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low. So I stopped using my nitroglycerin for about 48 hours so I can take the Viagra.

When they injected the dye into the artery they could not see anything. However, when nitroglycerin was administered everything showed up...no blockage. I also have chest pains and shortness of breath and fatigue along with the coldness spreading to my legs along with leg heaviness, cramps and weakness when walking. I only take isosorbide prior to a workout, and nitro when engaged in an activity that brings on angina. I understand your doctors are suggesting taking isosorbide daily as aschemia does not always produce angina even though the heart cells are not getting sufficient blood supply. I have attempted overdose 4 times since December, tonight I took 10mg of Clonazepam and 300 mg of Effexor is this enough to overdose
