Had to be given four blasts of liquid nitrogen to remove a skin cancer from my face. In the next couple of weeks it will be permanently gone. The reason I am putting this here is as a warning. If you have a strange mark or growth anywhere on your body, do not hesitate to have it checked out. I was wise enough to do something about it as soon as I spotted it. I didn't know what it was and decided to take no chances. In addiction the same philosophy applies.

When I did look at it, I had a large blister where the spot used to be. The blister is raised a good 1/4 inch above my skin level and definitely filled with fluid, and is a rather tight blister pouch.

A few days after I was checking my penis and seen a wart like thing on my penis I went to the dermatologist they took a look at said it doesn't look like a wart but we will spray liquid nitrogen and if it goes away it's a wart if it doesn't it's not.
Did you see the biopsy report? I think I'd ask for a copy to see what course of treatment the pathologist suggested. I'm not up on the treatments in that area of the face; I have had the liquid nitrogen to remove pre squamous cell moles on my face and had it done 2X as the first time was not successful.

I have 3 small warts on my penis and they were diagnosed as bowenoid papulosis. My GP treated them with liquid nitrogen. After 2 days, I found the skin around the warts are much dark than other areas, is this normal? The doctor ask me go for the second treatment in two weeks. Anyone here has experience of liquid nitrogen treatment? will the skin become dark for ever?
-He brought back liquid nitrogen and as he squeezed the bump visible liquid/pus came out. He proceeded to apply liquid nitrogen to the bump. He said the liquid could be from irritated skin around the bump.
-After 5 days the area he applied liquid nitrogen to has blistered away and healed. However, there is still a hard bump from before.
-I never thought it looked like genital warts - could it be a cyst?
Absolutely. I had some and they were zapped with nitrogen. But, instead of a swab dipped in liquid nitrigen, it is a pressurized form of liquid nitrogen that is released as very cold spray from a bottle. Pretty much like those one-dose-nitrogen to burn foot warts sold at the pharmacy. They are identical. The idea is to burn it and as the skin grows back, the wart falls off. May need many checkups to see if it worked entirely.
Except for the pride on the moment, it doesn't hurts that much.

It didnt go away after a few weeks so I went into the doctor to have it checked out. I was hoping it was just a hair follicle. The bump was only very slightly raised. It was a very symmetrical oval shape, kind of glossy and smooth looking, and there was a hair right in the middle of it.

I am a 27 year old military male living in North Dakota due to military orders. I do not smoke, drink alcohol, or do drugs. In June 2010 I noticed white spots on my upper lip. Silly me attempted to use the Freeze Away/Liquid Nitrogen approach to clearing skin bumps that appear as warts on my inner thighs. Well, I had the treatment applied before in my dermotologist's office so I attempted to do so myself to try to avoid making a doctor's appointment because I thought I was applying the same treatement. Well...come to find out, it turned red, just as the liquid nitrogen did the first time I had it done but THIS time, dark marks remain 1 month later.

It is common to find some blister after using liquid nitrogen. In such a case, it is best to avoid messing up the blister as it will go away after a few days. In the meantime you can apply some Neosporin ointment if the blister breaks.

Cryotherapy (freezing off the wart with liquid nitrogen) is in which tissue is frozen with super-cold liquid or gas (liquid nitrogen) via a cryoprobe. After treatment, the outer layer of tissue forms a blister and eventually breaks off from the deeper layers, "taking most of the affected tissue with it". Cryotherapy may cause some discomfort... By this time, passing two months, the area should have completely heald at its own forming a new tissue and skin...
I went in for liquid nitron treatment for warts on my hands 8 months ago. Total of 4... only one left serious scarring that has yet to fade. Its on the out side of my right pointer, the section of finger closest to the knuckle. The scar is a perfect circle very dark pink/red in color, raised.. almost like a bubble but it defintly looks like just an over growth of scar tissue (an explosion of skin) and flakes like dry skin in one spot.
Today I had my first HPV treatment using liquid nitrogen. I was diagnosed with genital warts due to HPV about a week ago, and I never had any symptoms such as burning or itching. I have these warts near my anal region, not inside my vagina or labia.

At this time it will be difficult to tell if the lesion on your penis was a wart or not since it is gone and/or any remaining tissue has been altered by the liquid nitrogen therapy making it difficult to tell. It certainly sounds as though it could have been however.
Liquid therapy for warts needs to be continued (at intervals) until the wart is gone. Sometimes this can be accomplished by a single treatment and on other occasions, several treatments are needed.
I had a drunken stupid encounter with a CSW worker in Ireland in march 2010. I am in a long term relationship with my now fiancé for over 13 years. After my stupid encounter I got tested for std and everything came back negative. I slowly tried to put my stupid encounter behind me. Earlier this year I became worried about genital warts again as I found a small lump under my penis head on theskin that connects the foreskin to the penis. It's like a wart!
