I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs.
I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.

What would happen if you rubbed pure nitroglycerin on your skin?
I'd like to know the symptoms on and below the skin. I know that nitroglycerin is used for anginas, but I also know that it's generally mixed with something else, so I'm curious about how well pure nitroglycerin would work and what it would do.
And if you had a vial of pure nitroglycerin, what could you mix it with to be able to use it as ointment?

I take a nitrate (isosorbide) for more than 6 years 3 times before going to gym for workout. My blood pressure does not drop between intervals...in fact I was told to have intervals of nitrate free period. It is true, nitro dilates the coronary vessels and prevents angina (chest pain). The patch should only be worn for up to 12 to 14 hours a day, or as directed by your doctor, but continued use with no interruptions can cause a tolerance for drug....
The pain lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. I have been prescribed nitroglycerin to take as needed for chest pain and this medicine surely helps. I've had several EKGs and cardiac enzymes done which were all normal. I also had a threadmill/stress test done which was normal. My cardiologist thinks the the probability of me having an occluded/blocked coronary artery is very low.
So now I'm on Levaquin for 3 weeks for a sinus infection. One of the side effects is tendonitis. I already have tendonits (both wrists) and everything has failed including physical therapy and steroid injections, i was referred to surgeon now as nothing has worked, have an appoint in November. Should I take the levaquin if i already have tendonitis? The sinus infection is bad saw ENT friday and put me on levaquin.

Female age 50 ... I was being treated for pneumonia with 10 days of levaquin and lodrain 24 D. On the fifth day I started having moderate and continual pain between my sholder blades in the upper back and heartburn (no heartburn for 25 years previously) and extreme fatigue. I thought it was the pneumonia and didn't go to the doctor for five days. My blood test then showed troponin was high, doctor said I may have had a heart attack. Doctor wanted a stress test ... which showed normal.
I had surgery for my Tendonitis. Now After the surgery the pain is worser, I get tingling, sharp shoting pain from the shoulder to my elbow to the forearm. Afetr the surgery he said I did not have Tendonitis. 5 months after the surgery I took another MRI which show I still have Tendonitis/Tendon Tears and this time it's worser than before. My question is What did he do wrong to my shoulder?

I am 53 female w/SLE, systemic lupus for almost 10 years. He had a heart catherization recently and was found to have several blocked arteries. He had 2 stents put in 2011. Are the risks too great for my husband at his age with insulin dependent diabetes for 19 years to have open heart surgery?
His cardiologist so far has put him a medication regimen to try to help with his blocked arteries.
