I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs.
I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.

A question for was you in pain after your byopsy as my father cant lift his neck or his arm really he looks dreadful im taking him up te ER tomorrow but im english and young living in spain they really dont want to speak english at all so thats why im looking for answers im really worried for my father as he is my best friend aswell and i hate to see him in pain perhaps maybe we could keep in touch..
Do this not just for yourself but for your loved ones.I wish you the best. My husband was diagnoised with prostate cancer in 2003, had his prostate removed ..it had spread to his seminal vessel and now he is showing signs that it may have returned so please don't delay.what I will say is this type really carries no apparent symptoms which makes it even more serious.My hubbies appt. is for the end of the month ..

So sorry to hear about your partner. I hope if he has decided to receive treatment that it was successful and you are both doing well. If not, there is no need to worry about you "catching" it from him. Prostate cancer is not the same as a cold or STD. Because cancer isn't a bacterial or viral infection, it does not spread between two people. Your own body can develop cancer, but he will not give it to you.
Have you had primary treatment for prostate cancer? This type of rise would indicate metastatic disease. If this was discovered over routine followup, and you remain symptomless, a retest of your PSA is warranted.

I am 43yrs old and was treated for stage one prostate cancer last year. I had agressive treatment with a combination of external radiation and Brachytherapy. I now on Uromax tablets (Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg) which is causing me severe pain when ejaculating. Please advice if there is anything I can as I am still very young.
You should read the book entitled - "Invasion of the Prostate Snatchers: No More Unnecessary Biopsies, Radical Treatment or Loss of Sexual Potency".... I would recommend going to the Mayo Clinic web site and research guidelines for PSA testing. Hard to give any advice with little information to go on.
The low number, 1, is for cells that look almost normal (very slow growing cancer). The high number, 5, is for cells that are least like normal prostate cells. Grades 2 to 4 fall in between. The pathologist identifies the two most prevalent grades and assigns them a number 1-5. These are then added together to make the Gleason score (also called Gleason sum). Gleason scores for prostrate cancer are 5-10, with 10 being the most aggressive.
Hi! My 78 year old dad was just told that he "probably" has Prostate Cancer due to symptoms (frequent urination) and the dr did a rectal exam and felt that it was "hard and bulbous." He has not had a recent PSA. He will have a biopsy in April.
What is the significance of the "hard and bulbous" finding? Does that mean it is more likely to be bad?
