Avatar f tn Anyways, I had a sharp pain in my elbow and it would also pop and crackle and lock a lot. I went to several experts and the only option that worked for me was a microfracture surgery.
Avatar m tn Good day! I have been experiencing tennis elbow (tendonitis) in my right elbow for the last 6 months. It's due to weight training and heavy lifting. I've cut back on the weight but still have soreness (though not as bad.) I've tried ice a few times each day, a brace when I exercise and Advil yet I still have it. My health insurance plan at work ***** and I don't want to go see a doctor as I don't have the money. Any suggestions? Thanx!!!
Avatar n tn I live in the Washington, D.C. area and would like to try platelet injections as a treatment for tennis elbow. Georgetown just finished clinical trials but I can't find a doctor who will administer this as a treatment. Is it still experimental? How can I find a physician who uses this procedure?
Avatar n tn I have suffered with tennis elbow for a number of years. 10 days ago I had my 3rd cortisone injection which so far has had little effect. How long should I wait before seek further medical assistance? The pain, if anything, seems to be getting worse. I can't straightened my arm now.
Avatar n tn Hi Megza, a couple months ago i got tennis elbow but though i tore a muscle whlle messing with my dogs until a co worker said i had tennis elbow so i research tennis elbow and saw exactly the symptoms i was expierencing. no surgery, really no doctor cost unless you go to a orthopedic doctor. i bought one of those bands that has velcro that raps around the upper part of the forarm near the elbow and it helps greatly.
Avatar m tn Tennis elbow is a tendinitis in the elbow area. Tennis is just one thing that can cause it. Rest is required. I think a physical therapist can help.
Avatar f tn I've been suffering from Tennis Elbow for over 2 years and would really like to avoid surgery. Any suggestions based on your experience would be highly appreciated.
767538 tn?1276575320 It was painful but cleared with injections of steroids. Our body works as one and the tennis elbow could be related to your shoulder problems. Tennis elbow does not have to come from over use though often that is a factor. It's similar to carpal tunnel. Once it was thought that CT was due to over use. It has been since discovered that we are predisposed to it. A person that jack hammers or works on the keyboard all day may never get carpal tunnel. It's mostly in our genes.
Avatar n tn I went to an orthopedic clinic and the doctor listened to my complaint and my suspicion that it is in fact tennis elbow, and then said, yes, you have tennis elbow. He showed me some exercises, recommended hot packs, and sent me on my way. He never once touched my arm or ask me to move it in any certain way. He prescribed tylenol. On the tendon (?) or something just above my elbow towards the elbow pit, I can feel something like a fatty lump and it is the source of all the pain.
Avatar n tn Hi there, had this problem for three weeks now,a friend said it was Tennis elbow and will go away in a few days! its still with me and no sign of going away, it flares up at times, and effect my sleep. I would be very grateful for any help or advice.
Avatar m tn I am 36 yr old male. Started to do some workout to keep fit almost a year ago. Things were going good. One day I was doing biceps with dumbells I started to feel pain in my left elbow. I ignored it but couple of days later it got worse. My doctor told me "tennis elbow" and gave me exercises like "pronationa and supination". I did it and still doing it. I used elbow bracing and taking pain meds. It didn't improve.
Avatar n tn thought it may be related to tennis elbow, but learn later that the condition is not tennis elbow related. Condition has existed for a couple of weeks now. Want to know the medical term for this condition and is there a cure?
Avatar n tn i still have the pain in my elbow but now I also have numbing on my index and middle fingers at the tips and it does not go away.
Avatar n tn Could just be what they call tennis elbow - which can affect anyone that is overusing the elbow joint - but he should stop by the emergency room and have it checked out if it popped up that fast.
Avatar f tn I have been perplexed as to why I got double tennis elbow out of nowhere so had my thyroid levels tested and I am low TSH the doctor says I am at '6'. he upped my Thyroxin. I am wondering if my tennis elbow is likely to resolve itself now that my meds have been upped or am I stuck with this horrible pain forever?
17484539 tn?1580565249 Wondering if anyone had similar experience with radial neck fracture complicated by tennis elbow and whether you had any success in getting over it?. If so, any recommendations appreciated.
Avatar f tn any help i might get is all the way on the north side.). I was told it was tennis elbow.??? I looked up the def. and it says nothing about the whole arm and should. I bought an elbow brace w/tendon support. not to great. Now I can't use either arm. I so screwed.
Avatar n tn It started with what was dianosed as "tennis elbow" cortisone (2 times) did not help, now it has progressed to my shoulder (the elbow is still bad), again cortisone did not help, I can not do much with the arm so injury is unlikely. Night is the worst as the pain spreads to the muscle between the shoulder and elbow and wakes me after a few hours sleep.
Avatar m tn neck, then shoulder, then wrist, and now elbow and shoulder. Family Dr. tells me I probably have arthritis and tennis elbow. I am not athletic and can't think of what I might have done to cause this. However, shortly before all this started, I did get really sick with vomiting and diahhrea for over a week. I suspected food poison.
Avatar f tn Hi quickkaren, did you do plenty of psyical therapy after the surgery? this is inportant because of scar tissue build up that can make it more painful than before the surgery. did you have a pain pump installed in your shoulder after the surgery? The tennis elbow i'm sure you've googled the heck out that by now and theres seems little that can be done. 2 months ago i got tennis elbow and i thought i had tore a musle but i didn't.
Avatar n tn If it's been going on for more than a week or two and nothing you've tried (rest, wrapping, over the counter analgesics) has worked, It may be time to have your doc have a look at it. My first thought is "tennis elbow", which is kind of a misnomer because people who don't play tennis get it. :) All kinds of things cause pain in the tendons near the elbow - sports, repetitive stress, maybe a bone spur on the elbow.
Avatar n tn I am a 56 year old working female. The pain is in my right elbow and goes down the bone in my right arm. I have noticed I am losing strength in my right arm, I have actually attempted to pick something up with my right hand and drop it or have very severe pain in that arm when picking something up and the bones in my elbow stay sore and tender to touch. Any thoughts?
