I've being on cerazette for a year and half I've always had a period but the last 2 months I haven't had one I stopped taking it last night because this may sound weird but I miss having a period its like a sign that I am not pregnant,has this happened to anyone else?
I have recently started taking cerazette and am wondering if I am pregnant. I have lots of food cravings that I've never had before (I've always been slim), such as eating about four flapjacks a day! I've also got brown spotting this morning and my breasts are sore. I don't know whether I'm suffering from PMS for the first time ever (I never got it before taking cerazette), or whether I'm pregnant.
I have been prescribed nitrofurantoin (macrobid) for a UTI. I have a hard time swallowing pills. Can these be broken up?

I have been taking Cerazette with what I thought were no complications for around 4 years now. Over the past 2/3 years my libido has steadily decreased to the point of almost nothing. Over the past few months I have 'missed' 2 pills and found that the folowing day I was 'in the mood' so to speak.

I had an ovarian cystectomy in September 2015 to remove a complex cyst of about 5cm x 5cm. I have been told that my ovary has not been removed and therefore I shouldn't really have any problems with fertility.
I had been taking Cerazette contraceptive pill since I was 21 and I'm now nearly 30, since December 2015 I have not taken Cerazette.

I hope I'm not being cheeky but my GP did mention at the time she prescribed this that some women do not bleed at all when they are on this pill. I have since mentioned it to another GP (at an appointment for something else) who didn't seem bothered about it either.
Do you recommend that I see someone else? I have had problems with my GP before (they tend to not take me seriously, treat me like a little girl etc because I look younger than my age).
I visit the doctor again and she gave me Nitrofurantoin antibiotics and after taking them once, instantly my erections returned and tests returned to normal size -I am taking 100mg twice in a day . The next day I woke up and my erections were gone again and testes shrunk, I took Nitrofurantoin and nothing is happening . I’m so scared I have phoned 111 and told them this and they told me to

I would ask the doctor and/or pharmacist if the tingling will go away after she gets off the Nitrofurantoin and if so then if she can tolerate it and it is working well then you can either up to dose of neurontin or try to tolerate it until the antibiotic is finished. If not then switch. I would not go off anything until talking to the doctor. Depending on the dose of Gabapin, she may have to taper off of it as you cannot go off of it immediately. You will get rebound insomina.
I have been using Cerazette (birth control pill) for about a year and a half now. Because of my medical history this is the only pill I can take and I have to take it every day instead of skipping a week. My periods used to be regular until I started birth control but now they come every 2 months and last for 20 days. Is there something wrong with me?
9 days ago Nitrofurantoin (200g a day for 5 days) was taken and daily birth control (Qlaira). Both are known to decrease levels of haptoglobin but nothing about complete depletion.
Could this be an extended effect from Nitrofurantoin? When should the test be repeated ?
hi i have recently been put on cerazette to help anemia related to heavy periods/endometriosis. after reading other peoples stories about digestive problems while taking this medicine i am not sure wether to start using it at the start of my next period (due tomorrow) or not. I also suffer from IBS and are concerned about the interaction between the two. advice please.
I have just got to 3 days on nitrofurantoin for uti, dizziness and headache got too bad as side effects. And now I'm losing my hearing too, no wax. It's inside and pain all over my face. Still dizzy, hearing been getting worse all day. Very quick. It's definitely the nitrofurantoin. I wondered as it says it can swell the salivary glands, cause sore throats and constant cold if it's to do with thst or a part of the nerve damage side effect? Did it resolve for you?
I have recently been feeling unwell and have recurring UTI’s and been on Nitrofurantoin. I also take levothyroxine for an under active thyroid.
I recently had a LFT and my ALT was 934. My GGT was 140 and bilirubin 37.
I am having an urgent scan tomorrow but the drs seem at a loss as to what is causing this? Any advice or help?
Im bleeding during sex, ive been off the pill (Cerazette) for a couple of months my period is very abnormal i had my period a week or two ago, there is no pain and the blood is like a period, lots of little bloodclots, slight heavy but still reconiseable as period, doesnt really last long i just put a tampon in as soon as ive started to bleed.
i havent had sex for 5 and abit month, and was wondering if this is down to irregular period?
But and the doctor, prescribed ciprobid, doxyl and nitrofurantoin for me and my wife. I have visited the doctor 3times and the last tested I did. He told I had almost nothing in terms of UTI and in my partner there was an indication that she had UTI, and we were both put on medication, but after the medication, I still feel the pain. We have not been meeting with my partner.
ve had the surgery and been put on hormone tablets and been kept on cerazette. With cerazette I went a year with no periods but recently I've been having periods every week and they last about 3 to 4 days. They always start on a Sunday and the blood is extremely black and wet looking. It also still hurts during sex. I'm not too sure what to do as the specialist said they got rid of all the endometriosis. Is there a chance that it could of grown back?
(My weight is about 145 kg, previously has been 188 kg, with a length of 170cm) It started in 2006, I did get nitrofurantoin, but I got only more ill, till I even got over 41 degree fever and an emergency-doctor then prescribed ciprofloxacin which did help (this was in Holland). Since 2008 we are in UK and I have been under treatment at St George, London, till 2010.
I have just been prescribed the contraceptive pill Cerazette (mini pill). I was told that I should start taking it after my next period. I'm around mid cycle now, due on again on the 8th of October so would probably take my first tablet around the 15th. However I have just booked a vacation from the 4th to the 11th of October. I would like to be covered by the pill during this time and if possible miss my next period. Could I start taking the pill now or would it cause any adverse affects?
