Avatar f tn Do you have any suggestions for what I might be able to do on my own to bring some relief to the neck stiffness/pain and severe headaches that it causes until I get back to the USA again in 1-2 years?! Thanks!
Avatar f tn I try to keep moving my neck into different positions to help ease the pain and the movement just seems to make the headaches and neck pain worse. The headaches are pretty much limited to the back of my head which is unusual for me. Over the past few days I have started to get a concentrated headache on the back left of my head that just feels like pulsating pressure.
Avatar n tn However, within the last two weeks I have begun to have several severe headaches a day accompanied by severe neck and shoulder pain. The headaches include pain and stiffness in my jaw, throbbing and pressure behind my eyes which makes visual focus difficult, pain at the base of my skull and at my temples, and aching everywhere else. I have also been having trouble falling asleep and every night I have strange, vivid dreams as if my REM cycle isn't kicking in properly.
Avatar f tn I know his has gone on for 5 years or longer. He will go exactly 3 days in severe pain in his head even with nausea and vomiting, nasal drippings, and tinnitus. The doctors have put him on every migraine medicine they can think of. He is at his wits end about it. He had this headache all weekend from Friday through Sunday. Got up feeling ok this morning, but just weak from the sickness. I will have to tell him about some of those test.
Avatar f tn He said that he got t-boned which means a car a car hit him in the side and the impact jerked his neck he said it felt like an electric jolt in his neck like a tingling sensation. He also experiences tinnitus. Could this be cerebral spinal leakage? No medicines the doctors have given him helps. He has even had sleep studies and yes he has apnea, but the nasal secretions are so bad when he puts it on and tries to wear it, he has to take it off.
Avatar n tn she said that your vessels are all expanding to accomidate the extra blood produced because of the baby and that can cause severe headaches..she also said that for some odd reason pg women tend to get allergy problems even if they never had them before and usually show up in the form of sinus pressure and pain. she suggested to me to take tylenol sinus, and use a saline nose spray to keep your membranes moist.

Avatar f tn Preorgasmic headache typically appears as a dull ache in the head and neck that slowly intensifies with sexual excitement. Orgasmic headaches usually present as a severe pain during orgasm. I suggest you a neurologist’s examination and CT head to rule out these causes. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.

Avatar f tn Over 30 days ago I started having pain in my neck which caused severe headaches (not related to any accident). My Dr. put me on muscle relaxers and anti inflammatory drugs which did nothing. The Dr. finally precribed but/apap/caf with codeine which at least helps with the pain. My Dr. ordered a neck x-ray, as well as a non-contrast MRI of the brain and neck. I was told there was a slight bulging of the C 5 and 6 disc, but it was not enough to cause what I was experiencing.
Avatar n tn Another type of headaches is Migraine headaches. They are severe and recurrent headaches and are generally accompanied by other symptoms like visual disturbances or nausea, are mostly unilateral but may spread to both sides. Avatar f tn Tylenol doesn't do anything for, nor the TramadolI have been on for chronic back and neck pain. I have never been able to get an answer from my doctors as to what to do or why it happens. Is this just caused by my colon issues? Any insight on this problem?
Avatar f tn I never cry in front of them except when I am in severe severe pain. I was just in severe pain at that time. The Resident kind of looked like, "what??" when he said it was normal and to see a psychiatrist. Gosh, I hope the heck that is not the kind of doctor she becomes. I hope she goes with the way she was before he came in the room!
Avatar n tn I have been having severe neck pain on the back left side with excruciating headaches. The front of my throat is tender to touch and even barely touching it feels like I'm being strangled. I also feel like there is a constant lump in my throat. The pain in my neck runs from the bottom of my scalp all the way to my shoulder blades. It feels tight, like I can't move my neck and yet also like it is throbbing.

Avatar f tn I have been having severe neckpain radiating down my left arm and causing muscle spasms in neck, head and back. I went to see a chiropractor and xray shows fusion of C-3 and C-4. What causes this and what can be done about the pain? the curvature is more straight and my head leans forward straining neck muscles causing spasms and headaches. I don't recall hurting myself or pulling anything. Is this something that is normal?
