Nebivolol weiss

Common Questions and Answers about Nebivolol weiss

bystolic

Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.
Avatar n tn I questioned them about it and they said no weiss rings because they move around your vision. I feel like they are looking for something that is not there. I have had these rings for over a year, but my vision is good, what I see through and around the rings. Are there any specialists that deal with weiss rings, I want another opinion. I don't want them putting me on drops if not necessary.
Avatar f tn Also in 10 days time this eye with this PVD seems to be swimming underwater with lots and lots of vitrious movement in addition to the nasty Weiss Ring jumping into my direct vision. As the vitrious thins out can the location of the Weiss Ring change so that it may relocate out of my line of vision and jump to the side instead of across it. This is unbelieveable but I'm sure they are a lot of worse eye conditions.
Avatar f tn I've lived with large Weiss Rings in each eye and until about 2 months ago life was good and I coped well with them because for the most part they were off to the side of each eye. Within the last 2 months they have become more active. Currently they swing and bounce back and forth into my line of vision with each and every eye movement. They both move toward the nose or up and down then slowly move back just off center of my central vision.
Avatar n tn I noticed it while at a meeting in St. Louis. A weiss ring is where the Weiss ligament (shaped like a cheerio cereal) attaches the vitreous to the optic nerve in the young eye. During a PVD when the vitreous cleaves it off it creates a floater that is bigger than the others. Sort of like a redwood tree in a pine forest. It is not a sign of disease. Most people like me learn to tune it out and not see it.
Avatar f tn Having a Weiss Ring associated with a posterior vitreous detachment is not a risk factor for more likely having a hole, tear, or RD than PVD not associated with Weiss Ring. I have a Weiss Ring in my right eye and can see it as I type this response. It's just bigger than your average floater or as I tell patients "Like a redwood tree in a pine tree forest.

Avatar m tn After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Avatar f tn I have had PVD's in both eyes resulting in a Weiss Ring in both eye. I've lived with them for about 5 years. Now all of a sudden they have become more active with additional clouds and movement into my line of vision. I saw my Glaucoma Specialist a week ago and mentioned this to him. He diliated my eyes and used that little tool to press around the outside of each eye examinating my retinas.
1530342 tn?1405016490 “She’s doing fantastically well,” Dara-Lynn Weiss told Matt Lauer on TODAY Tuesday. “We’re very happy to report she’s maintained a healthy weight. She’s really made positive changes in how she approaches this issue.” In the April issue of Vogue, Weiss wrote about her daughter, "Bea" (not her real name), who at age 7, was 4-foot, 4-inches tall and weighed 93 pounds. At those measurements, the girl would have had a body-mass index of 24.
Avatar f tn I'm considering laser vitreolysis to remove a Weiss ring floater. One doctor told me that there is a risk that the floater could break free during treatment and then float posteriorly toward the retina and be more noticeable. Another told me that if it broke free it would likely move anteriorly and be less noticeable. My question involves the anatomy of the tissue surrounding the optic disc where this tissue originates.
Avatar m tn My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.
Avatar f tn I wold certainly take issue with the above comment about a Weiss ring disappearing after 2 weeks or even 6 weeks. I have had one since a PVD in my R. eye, back in February, which has shown no signs of going away - so this is almost 6 months later. I am about to go abck to my optician to check whether the floaters I also have will decrease over time (they have shown no signs of doing so up to now, and are extremely annoying). Sorry if this is depressing news.
Avatar f tn Weiss rings start off looking like a very tiny donut (or cheerio) because the tear, twist, bend they can be almost any shape. Go to Google IMAGES type in Weis Ring and look at pictures of them.
Avatar n tn It took a while it was frightening; but if it is pvd; what happens when that is over and also what does a weiss ring look like? Thanks Dr. Hagan; this has not been an easy summer; i started this in march after i had laser treatment. Thanks for any advice. Hope you are doing well. My husband has been very supportive and i have met a lot of people with floaters and that helped me through this and is still helping me.
Avatar f tn i have pvds in both eyes one 15 months ago second 8 months ago i have been left with weiss ring in both eyes and various other debrie ie small black spots and stick like floters to side of vison went to eye hospital yesterday due to silver arch at side of right eye coming and gonig eyes checked retina ok whats trhis do you think
Avatar f tn I currently have 2 Weiss Rings on what looks like Bungie Cords (one in each eye) in constant motion with every movement of my eyes. The one if the Right Eye is left of my central vision but the one in my Left eye is very close to my central vision crossing it each and every movement. Difficult to use computer so I'll be short. Need encouragement. Will these fade over time and will the brain eventually ignore them. I had a Retina Specialist check my eyes and he told me I had PVD's.
Avatar n tn The ring flops around a lot but the overall position has been pretty stable since it showed up a few days ago. Is this typical for a Weiss ring? If a Weiss ring shows up in the right eye, would it typically be seen at 3:00 O'Clock in that visual field?
Avatar n tn 8 days after the incident all symptoms disappeared. But then a week later I saw a weiss ring floater and a very vague floater to the far left of my left eye and also a brief flash at night when I turned quickly to the left. I saw my opthamologist 3 days later (17 days after the original trauma). He said I had PVD whch would probably not become a retinal detachment. He also said the flashes would disappear in 2 weeks, but he was indefinite about the Weiss Ring.
Avatar m tn Try googling "weiss ring" and see if this matches any of what he is experiencing. If he is short sighted (large eyes), he is at a greater risk than otherwise. I hope he finds an answer and a solution.
Avatar m tn hi guys, just wondering, ive been having floaters since i was 9 yrs old and im currently 15, lately, in addition to floaters ive been seeing, ive notice a ring like floater in my right eye, and was wondering if it was a weiss ring(ive heard that it is serious if u can c a weiss ring). I also noticed flashes, not rly bright flashes, that is quite similar when to u blink ur eyes.. Was wondering if i shud anyth bout it ? thx The ring floater look like tiny bubbles joined 2gether 2 form a ring.
Avatar m tn Retina is OK now but I have a large floater which is always visible and blurs my vision several times a minute sometimes for a fraction of a second, sometimes for several seconds (possible Weiss Ring? although my eye surgeon said they don't call it that anymore). He had me wait several months to see if it went away or I got use to it (it did not) and now suggests a vitrectomy. I am looking for a less invasive alternative. Is use of a laser to dissolve occulsions approved.
Avatar f tn I had a left PVD 18 days ago with Weiss ring and flashes.I had 2 retinal examination:no tears. I have yet some flashes in the evenings when I move my head. What does it mean? How long does it take to PVD to be total?
Avatar m tn My doctor just recommend a new med called nebivolol (bystolic) to me thst im pretty hesitant to try as propranolol does help Most out of what ive tried. The nebivolol bystolic didnt get the besr reviews from what ive seen. thats just my experiences and what things have worked and not worked for me on an individual basis. I feel some of my pvcs are caused by anxiety, some by exercise or increase in working out and some by large meals.
