Nebivolol trials

Common Questions and Answers about Nebivolol trials

bystolic

Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.
Avatar m tn After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Avatar m tn My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.
Avatar m tn My doctor just recommend a new med called nebivolol (bystolic) to me thst im pretty hesitant to try as propranolol does help Most out of what ive tried. The nebivolol bystolic didnt get the besr reviews from what ive seen. thats just my experiences and what things have worked and not worked for me on an individual basis. I feel some of my pvcs are caused by anxiety, some by exercise or increase in working out and some by large meals.

Avatar m tn Im 17 and doctors say i have hypertension, which i start to panic when someone checks my bp with heart rate monitor. I am currently drinking nebivolol and i want to know if this medicine will stunt growth?
Avatar f tn Hi, All beta blockers are known to result in some degree of erectile dysfunction in males & decreased libido in females. However, nebivolol is one beta blocker which has got vasodilatory properties & hence can be one of the alternatives of carvedilol. However, you can continue taking lisinopril. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar n tn It is a common side effect with Nebicard (Nebivolol) so perhaps it might be worth asking your Doctor to prescribe a different brand.
Avatar f tn i took it for about 14 mths for svt ,and i found it to be ok ,there are better ones for svt ,like neiblet{nebivolol} which is a more selective for the heart ,but inderal is known to be good for migraine as well...for the first few weeks just watch standing up quick and things like that ,it is better started on a low dose and moved up as needed,,but apart from that it seems to be well tolerated by most.
899454 tn?1295583938 Medicines I take are Nebivolol (Bystolic) 5 mg daily and 4.5 mg Bromazepam 3 mg in the morning and 1.5 mg before bedtime. I remember in 2009 when I got those ectopics here and there I was so worried! I started taking magnesium, watching my diet and I made it till now with the ectopics here and there. On the anxiety front I wasn't doing so bad either. My last panic attack was in November 2014 while I was on vacation.
Avatar f tn I try being on a diet but know i am taking Crestor 20mg for triglicerides, and nebivolol 5mg for my bp. I have had some cases of high heart beat and doctors said its nothing to worry about. I had onew 12 years ago, 1one 8 years ago and one 2 yeears ago. They come and go within 10 minutes. Its something with my electrical paths of my heart but doctors said there is no need to worry for now.My docotr said that high bp is due to my sensitive character, and tryglicerides is gentics.
899454 tn?1295583938 My resting heart rate was around 80/90 bpm and when I was anxious above 120. The cardiologist put me on Bystolic (nebivolol) 2.5 mg a day. The med lowered my blood pressure (120/75) and lowered my heart rate (50+ bpm). I am in a way very pleased with the med. I another way I am now more aware of my PVC’s. Can it be possible that now that I have a more lower heart rate I am more aware of the PVC’s? Is it possible that when you are taking beta blockers you still can feel the PVC’s?
700212 tn?1240760820 How do I find out about trials?...will my doc tell me and ask if thats something I'm interested in them or do I have to find them for myself?...Im just wonderinf...
184420 tn?1326739808 i was on a trial for virimadine so i was treated with that and interfuron... would i be eligible for any of the new trials for non-responders ? im guessing no because i have absolutely no results from this trial they told me NOTHING except after 6 months it wasnt working and they stoped it... i could try and get on a new trial for treatment naive and i guess i could just lie and say i never treated...
579125 tn?1251576265 I was wondering if anyone knows of... or could direct me in how to find trials for non-responders in the southern California area.
980756 tn?1313445908 I was in the last boceprevir trial. Like epiphiny says, it is to get a baseline and suitability. It's all pretty standard in trials and would be a good idea for most people starting TX, too. To be honest interferon can cause bizarre problems like lung damage, heart palpitations, etc. Not too common, but it happens.
980756 tn?1313445908 was screened for 3 trials and excluded at thge last second [it seemed] because of my early cirrhosis ... on 3rd week of BI 201335 trial..so hang in there......patience is a virtue..
Avatar f tn t be included in the trial. So to answer your question, there are very strict guidelines relative to clinical trials. As Bill said, go to the website and read some of the trials.
Avatar m tn Are there any new trials other than interferon or ribaviron, I've relasp twice and there nothing else my Doc says he can do.
715004 tn?1309077280 I was given nitroglycerin to see if that would help the chest pains. It did. Now, I was just put on a beta blocker, nebivolol (or something like that) for a rapid heart rate, and a high BP reading at the time. My BP is usually fine. I had an echocardiogram and everything was fine. Here's the confusion... I have no idea what is wrong with me, if anything. The doctors don't provide any diagnosis or give any clues to whether there is anything wrong at all.
Avatar m tn i dont know if its related but 2 weeks before it started i was took too hospital with a fast and irregular heart beat which is still occuring at rest my heart beat will jump from 70 bpm to 140 bpm i am under diagnosis of svp or svt not sure which but am controled with nebivolol (beta blocker) but only as of 2 months ago please someone help its not in my mind thanks
Avatar f tn Hello, I was recently in hospital for initiation of new drugs for my inappropriate sinus tachycardia. The drugs (Ivabradine and Nebivolol) were successful while I was in hospital but since coming home I've been having complications.
Avatar n tn Bystolic (Nebivolol) is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. It is in a class of medications called beta blockers. It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing heart rate to improve blood flow and decrease blood pressure. If you mean that you are taking Bystolic and it is causing you pain....and according to PCP and literate it should not....I agree with you. Our systems can respond differently then others do to medications. We are all different.
8924846 tn?1410572901 Since its a school they ask patients who qualify to volenteer for drug trials when they are avalible. I was asked to take part in one that is for a nausea medication. So basically when i go in for my c section they will admister the medication or placebo when i get the spinal/epidural before the surgery. I would really like to take part and volenteer but at the same time id rather not be puking while they are cutting me open....
