Nebivolol for stage fright

Common Questions and Answers about Nebivolol for stage fright

bystolic

Avatar m tn Propranalol is an extremely good beta-blocker to take for stage fright, although 10mg is a very low dose. I take 40mg x 2 times a day to my general anxiety and find it helps a great deal. Maybe, under doctors supervision, you could try a higher dose but with your angioplasty please consult your doctor befor doing so, as they do lower blood pressure and slow the heart.
Avatar f tn My mother currently taking nebivolol 5mg in morning and amlodipine/perindopril 5/8mg in evening for hypertension. Her blood pressure has recently been improved and taking both pills cause low blood pressure, she is also suffering from cough as a side effect from perindopril. I am considering to shift her to nebivolol only but 5 mg once a day is not controlling the blood pressure well. My question is can nebivolol be taken twice a day in 2.
Avatar f tn Whenever I feel like I have to pee lately I almost get like stage fright for a few moments and then I start going with no problems sometimes like a "racehorse"...no pain but its a bothersome problem waiting to go like that? any problem?
Avatar n tn This has put me on the side lines for promotion as my ability to stand for what I believe in is doubted by senior management. What can I do to overcome this. When I read stage fright symptoms, my situation seems to fit.
Avatar n tn Hello. I recently started taking atenolol for stage fright, 50 to 100 mg once to twice a week. it worked great! until after several weeks i started getting a sensation of irregular heart beats. i have been off of it now for 2 weeks and i still get a skipped heart beat sensation followed by a very forceful heart beat. i checked my pulse and there is a long (couple of seconds?) pause in the heart beats when i get that feeling.
Avatar m tn I have had the feeling of nausea (without actually vomitting) for two months now -- also stomach pains especially in the morning and when I have not eaten. It gets much more worse under slight pressure (lecturer office hours, while teaching infront of many students, while presenting).. I have to say that I haven't had that before, I have no fright of stage and I have given lectures infront of big audiences for years now without this problem.
Avatar m tn s/p quadruple bypass and pacemaker. this is not stage fright. feel like someone is pushing to complete the recitation in hurry! thyroid profile, BMP and all other health maintenance tests normal. will propanolol help?
Avatar m tn I used to take a slow-release Propranolol 80 mg every day, which caused severe tiredness and extreme fatigue, to the point that I was not able to think straight and sometimes could not even get out of bed. Apparently, Propranolol also inhibits the ability for you to burn fat, not to mention gastrointestinal issues. Depression is also significantly higher when taking Propranolol.
Avatar n tn Has anyone had this latest beta blocker prescribed for them or family members? If so, what comments can you make concerning its effectiveness with heart rhythm problems?
Avatar m tn After my second ever episode of fast atrial fibrillation, resolved through electric shock, my cardiologist prescribed 100mg flecaine and 2.5mg nebivolol to be taken every day. This as a preventive measure. I have read on the medicine info notice that these two medicines should not be taken together. My cardiologist states that they are routinely prescribed together by cardiologists these days. I have never taken any heart drug, and feel a bit concerned. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Avatar f tn s a beta-blocker mostly used to lower blood pressure but sometimes used for performance anxiety situations like stage fright, exam taking, job interviews etc. He's used it with other patients experiencing ED. I also do take the beta-blocker pindolol which has kept my BP at 125/70 for years. Shrink says very occasional and use of propranolol on top of pindolol should not be a problem but I still have concerns which I will run by my GP.
Avatar m tn My cardiologist subbed 5 mg Nebivolol for the Amlodipine due to what he described as exercise-related hypertension. I took this medication for a week and experienced a range of unpleasant side effects, including exhaustion, significant depression and reduced heart rate (mid-60s, compared with my normal mid-80s). I've been off the Nebivolol for five days, but I'm still experiencing these side effects. My heart rate has only come back to about 67-68.
Avatar f tn So I have been with my man for 6 years in December. We're engaged and I love him to pieces. There was a portion of time where our relationship was rocky. I got with another guy. No excuses. I confessed and it almost destroyed us but, after some time, he forgave me and we worked it out. For a time after that I felt very guilty and didn't want to have sex with my bf at the time (now fiance). He has been very patient with me.
Avatar f tn im due my little girl tomorrow and hadnt as far as i know lost my mucus plug... until i went to the toilet this morning.. i went the first time for a wee and wiped and everything was normal... went back again half an hour later (very weak bladder at this stage lol) and when i wiped there was a jelly like substance on the toilet paper it was a yellow colour no blood... is this my mucusplug or discharge. Avatar f tn Honestly I did it with 3/4 of my previous, the last one I got to 7cm without even knowing I was in labor! They did need to use pitocin still with her cause I guess she had stage fright lol. Mind over matter! I'm SERIOUS. I never knew any different until the last so it was fine for me, and besides I'm so committed to natural birth for my baby and me. The pain is temporary with a wonderful result in the end!
Avatar m tn hey, it sounds to me you have stage fright and worry about it to much. believe me I am the same. try joining up witht the local theator and practice acting, or try taking some acting lessons or speach lessons. it will help!
Avatar n tn First, I am a 25 year old male, in great health. I was masturbating and I vomited, and this was the first time it happened. I felt fine before, and the nausea persisted for a bit after. Now every time I masturbate, i fell like I am going to vomit; but have yet to vomit again. It is starting to worry me a bit, cause I sometimes have trouble urinating. Its kinda like I get 'stage fright' and unable to start the flow. After 'pushing' for about 45 seconds, it usually starts.
Avatar m tn Anxiety and stress are known to be a contributor to Afib; however, I would think that 'severe fright' would cause afib only in one who is already prone to afib for one reason or another. I don't believe that severe fright would cause afib in and of itself without some other risk factors present. If someone is prone to afib though, and/or has had past occurrences of it, I would suspect that the stress and anxitety of extreme fear could trigger an attack.
Avatar n tn My little guy would hide. Any time I'd try to get his dad to feel him he would just stop. Like he got stage fright. Lol. Now he's too big to hide and there is no denying the movements.
Avatar n tn my 3 year old had a bad fright a few weeks ago now wetting pants and very angry help pls
Avatar f tn Of interest, propranolol is one of the banned substances in the Olympics, presumably for its use in controlling stage fright and tremors....Propranolol is currently being investigated as a potential treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.
