my husband just started on Namenda, starter doses, however, while I was at work today, he took 3 of the pills(5mg), should I be concerned? do I just have him continue tomorrow with the correct one pill in the morning? doesn''t seem to have any side effects.
She did a mini neuro/cognitive eval and said this may be something more than MS. Now she has prescribed Namenda XR for me. I googled it and it says it's for Alzheimers. I do have family that have/had dementia/Alzheimers. Does anyone else with MS take this??? Or do you know anyone with MS that takes it? My doctor does that to look up side effects and interactions of medications. What caused the extreme high blood pressure? Did they say that was caused by the Effexor? Or Effexor would make it worse? Its important to remember that any time there's any unusual side effect, especially that extreme from a medication they need to report it.

There has been studies to see if it helped chronic pain and most of them showed it did not. I wanted to try it for myself and she allowed me too. My shrink also thought it was a good idea to try.

i also take hormones and xanax...i read where alot of my meds have interactions...but pharmisits say its ok.............

My mom's medication regeime has had risperdal added to it. She is alteady on zoloff and the standards for alzeheimer's including namenda. Since putting her on the risperdal she sleeps all the time, has had a to be restarted on blodd pressure medication and seems to be losing her mtor skills.
I am very concened about these changes and wonder if the risperdal is the right dosage or medicine.
First of all his doctor changed and titrated his blood pressure medications and also they found Namenda to be quite helpful.
Likewise, I was never told to avoid taking anything with my levothyroxine besides food and calcium/multivitamin (basically just not at the same time, but I could still have a multivitamin). I've also never had a problem taking benedryl (besides that it knocks me out) or any other drug with my hypothyroid meds.
