minocycline and hair growth

I was taking minocycline for about a month. I went to my Obgyn and found out I was 7 weeks pregnant. Could being on minocycline for a month when I was 7 weeks pregnant affected my baby?

I have acne all over the back of my head and on my back it hurts to touch in some spots and to dry my hair.

I am having cramping, swollen breasts. no facial hair. yes trouble losing weight. and i can definitely tell when i'm ovulating. Last time i had sex was sunday the 18th of april. I have unprotected sex, no birth control. i take minocycline for my face. no its not my first abnormal cycle. and no kids.

I took Minocycline for 6 days and had a bad reaction towards ,,,,, numbness(pins and needles) in feet and both joint and muscle pain in hands and feet. I also had some nerve issue in my feet and itching. I stopped taking it and it's been 5 weeks and I still have these aggravated symptoms. Have you heard from these side effects lasting so long after stopping the medication?

I have been reading that minocycline can cause black thyroid in some people and can take up to a year to reverse after stopping medication. it is given to teenagers for acne and my son was on it for 6 mths twice a day having severe headaches yet the dr ignored it until I googled and realized that it could be effecting his thyroid and causing the headaches since those were listed as symptoms and wondered if anyone else ran into that.....his thyroid test did come back 4.6 with the top normal of 4.

t really understand what the connection was, but I wanted to know if I could trust my HIV test results even though I am on Minocycline, and was for months before, during, and after my HIV test. Also, just to ease my mind, is there ANYTHING else that could effect the validity of an HIV test (aspirin, menstrual cycle, diet, anything)? d been there longer then normal. Months maybe. He informed me about minocycline induced hyprepigmentation and advised me to call my derm dr. asap. I did as soon as I got home and she took me off the mino immediately. Later that week I was brushing my teeth and happened to venture up a little further and noticed my upper gum line looked funny. I rinsed my mouth out and pulled up my upper lip to expose my gum line. And there it was...blue gums!!! I called my derm dr.

t noticed any facial hair growth, although I think my hair is thinning out. When I take a shower and put cream rinse in and work it thru, I have lots of hair coming out.

s because of your prenatal vitamins. They help hair and nail growth. And the idea about it being a boy because you have a lot of extra hair, could be true. Before I got pregnant I just had peach fuzz on my tummy and now it looks darker and longer, and I'm having a boy. But yet again, I shave my arm pits and legs a lot more than usual. Also your pubic hair will probably begin to grow so much you can't keep up with it.

I take my vitamins everyday and my hair doesn't grow its dry and awhful actually. And I don't even colour my hair. It's been over a year since I've coloured it. I too am bummed about this because I was looking forward to my hair finally growing. I chopped it all off a while ago.

I lost a probably about 45% but luckily it thinned all over. the only part I had to hide was a receding hair line in the front (Like my dad has) So I didn't put my hair up and just combed long hair over for a while. I have been done with treatment for a couple months now..and my hair, (while still thinned out) is a completely different texture then it was on treatment. I noticed within a few weeks after tx the shine was back and it did not look so dead anymore.

With my first and second pregnancy my hair grew long and thick on my head. This pregnancy my hair is comings out everytime I wash it. The plug is full of my hair. Luckily for now you wouldn't notice because I have so much. It does appear to be growing faster tho.

It is true, for most women I think. In my first pregnancy my hair grew fast and got thicker. But this time my hair is so thin and even my eyebrows and eyelashes are sparse.

Yes! I just chopped off my long hair, and it's already starting to grow a lot. Plus, I find myself needing to shave my legs/underarms more... Often I'm too lazy to do it, though.

I was very anxious for my hair to grow as well but even with eating healthier and taking my prenatal pills daily my hair has not grown at all. I feel my hair actually got so dry :/ but everyone can be different.

It most likely is a beard hair but is growing on your wrest.

Okay, so this is really embarassing but, I am sooo curious. Since Sept 2010, I've miscarried 4 times. Been getting some tests done and so far everything is normal But, for the last while (more so now which is why I'm asking) I've noticed hair growing on my stomach and a few on my breasts? Is this normal? If not, what usually causes that? Ty in advance.
