Avatar m tn I AM 18 YEARS OLD. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THROUGHOUT THE DAY MY HEART BEATS IN A FUNNY MANNER. LIKE THERE ARE 5 TO 6 REGULAR BEATS AND THEN THE NEXT BEAT COMES AFTER A SLIGHTLY LONGER PAUSE. I HAVE HAD ELECTRO AMD ECHOCARDIOGRAMS AND THEY BOTH WERE NORMAL. I GET VERY SCARED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I GET PALPITATIONS. I AM THE KIND OF PERSON WHO PAYS A LOT OF ATTENTION TOWARDS THESE THINGS.IS THIS CONDITION DANGEROUS????
Avatar n tn Hi there, Any drug is usually prescribed only if the benefits outweigh the risks .For preventing drug induced nephrotoxicity one should observe vigilance and early intervention. High creatinine affects kidney functions. Drinking lots of fluids, regularly exercising, and consuming lots of roughage can help keep creatinine levels in check. A good diet may help in regular detoxification of the blood and reducing the load on the kidneys.
Avatar m tn JUST FORGOT TO TELL YOU THAT I AM SUFFERING FROM ULCERATIVE COLITIS SINCE 10 YEARS AND NOW I AM ON MESALAZINE 800 MG TWICE DAILY. I MAY BE SUFFERING FROM BOTH UC AND CROHN'S DISEASE. MY WEIGHT IS ONLY 35 KG AND I AM HAVING MESALAZINE SINCE 10 YEARS.MY HB LEVEL IS 11. PLZ REPLY TO THE ABOVE QUESTION ABOUT MY HEART.
Avatar m tn I have been suffering from chronic ulcerative colitis (UC) over the last twenty years. I’m in control of it and lead almost a normal life. I’m currently on 3 grams of Rafassal (Mesalazine) and 200 mg of Imuran (Azathioprine). My last colonoscopy revealed multiple areas suspicious of low grade dysplasia (LGD) in sigmoid colon and recotoanal junction. There is also doubt they might be high grade dysplasia (HGD). My doctor advised that these LGDs be removed.
Avatar f tn do you mean that Tenofovir can make HBsAg positive to HBsAg negative? is that for real?
Avatar m tn 1 - You think what my STD doctor told me is reasonable? 2 - Would you suggest any HIV testing to me? I think I am ready to move on if you will not tell me that tested is warranted to me. 3 - You think GE was professional by giving me mesalazine after sigmoidoscopy (when I have been told proctitis I knew nothing about causes)? You think proctitis cannot be related to HIV? 4 - Nodes - Can 2 nodes be related to autoimmune proctitis? Should I get further in analysing my nodes?
388544 tn?1231982494 However, the frequent occurrence of adverse reactions to treatment, especially nephrotoxicity, together with the small magnitude of the potential benefit, makes the risk/benefit of this therapeutic approach unacceptable (Level B recommendation). Plasma exchange: On the basis of consistent Class I, II, and III studies, plasma exchange is of little or no value in the treatment of progressive MS (Level A recommendation).
Avatar n tn It is rather general question. I was taking mesalazine , it is an anti-inflammatory drug but has also some immunosuppressive functions. I stopped it 4 months before testing.
Avatar m tn Have you had a holter or other monitor to see exactly how many per min/24 hr? If you haven't get all your test results and look at your holter monitor results. Typically dr's do not worry until pvc's are over 15-20% of your total daily heartbeats. In a normal heart that beats 100,000 times daily, that would be 15,000+ pvc's daily. Chances are if your doctor didn't worry over them you're not having as many as you feel.
Avatar n tn Mesalazine may also cause some stomach upset (read for side effects on the label).
Avatar m tn t seem to help with the underlying problems. The doctor then prescribed Canasa (mesalazine) suppositories for 10 days, which seemed to help while I was using them (though they didn't entirely clear up the problems and also caused me to have more gas). Since completing the 10 days of using the suppositories, my symptoms have been just as bad as before I started using them, or maybe even a little worse.

468265 tn?1207540518 I take Prograf as an anti-rejection drug and it is associated with some degree of nephrotoxicity so I pay attention to my creatinine level. I could go on but I probably rambled on too long already.
Avatar n tn and an engaged Gastroenterologist who was keen to get me well!! When things get a little wobbly (after gastro virus from my kids!!) I use Mesalazine supps or enemas to 'put out the fire'. Cross fingers, 3 years mostly in remission for a condition that stays "under the radar". Watch the bowel, get acquainted with the patterns and insist on a preventative approach with a Dr that you trust! There is always a better state of health even with small-problem symptoms... Best wishes!!
Avatar n tn A plausible mechanism involves the combined inhibition of enteric CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein, which potentially leads to serious adverse events (e.g., nephrotoxicity).Blood levels of tacrolimus (Prograf) can also be equally affected for the same reason as with cyclosporine.
Avatar m tn This is a clear criminal act. How come FDA is not allowing the safe to use Mesalazine Enema, which has been used for years in Europe and Canada? I am not certain how I can spread the word so that all UC patients who are suffering can get benefited. Please spread the word and let CCFA know that this drug needs to be made available in US. I have to buy it from UK or Canada at my own expenses. This is outrageous when I am paying so much for insurance. Please advise.
Avatar m tn He said ectecavir did not cause nephrotoxicity, but from some of the things I have researched online it showed tenfo and ectec had same decrease in kidney function. The good thing is he has a fibroscan in his office. That was amazing to see. He said all his patients get a fibroscan which i have scheduled for next week. I am worried about the ectecavir worsening my kidney function. I dont want to be dialysis and hep b. Any advise?
Avatar f tn I'm getting induced Monday and I'm so nervous. I've waited so long for this and now I feel like I chickened out because I'm so scared. How can I get rid of being scared ? The unknown terrifies me.
Avatar f tn So I'm being induced on April 7th.. has anyone been induced? What are people's experiences? My due date is the 13th but baby is already 8lbs.
Avatar f tn Im 38 weeks and im getting induced next thursday i wish i could go to labor before then. Any tips on how to go into labor?
Avatar f tn Are we allowed to be induced if we ask the dr, like if my son isn't here by my due date do I really have to wait till 41 weeks or can I just get induced by telling them that's what I want to do?
