MY WEIGHT IS ONLY 35 KG AND I AM HAVING MESALAZINE SINCE 10 YEARS.MY HB LEVEL IS 11. PLZ REPLY TO THE ABOVE QUESTION ABOUT MY HEART.
I AM 18 YEARS OLD. MY PROBLEM IS THAT THROUGHOUT THE DAY MY HEART BEATS IN A FUNNY MANNER. LIKE THERE ARE 5 TO 6 REGULAR BEATS AND THEN THE NEXT BEAT COMES AFTER A SLIGHTLY LONGER PAUSE. I AM THE KIND OF PERSON WHO PAYS A LOT OF ATTENTION TOWARDS THESE THINGS.IS THIS CONDITION DANGEROUS????
This is a clear criminal act. How come FDA is not allowing the safe to use Mesalazine Enema, which has been used for years in Europe and Canada? I am not certain how I can spread the word so that all UC patients who are suffering can get benefited. Please spread the word and let CCFA know that this drug needs to be made available in US. I have to buy it from UK or Canada at my own expenses. This is outrageous when I am paying so much for insurance. Please advise.
I have been suffering from chronic ulcerative colitis (UC) over the last twenty years. I’m in control of it and lead almost a normal life. I’m currently on 3 grams of Rafassal (Mesalazine) and 200 mg of Imuran (Azathioprine).
My last colonoscopy revealed multiple areas suspicious of low grade dysplasia (LGD) in sigmoid colon and recotoanal junction. There is also doubt they might be high grade dysplasia (HGD).
My doctor advised that these LGDs be removed.
1 - You think what my STD doctor told me is reasonable?
2 - Would you suggest any HIV testing to me? I think I am ready to move on if you will not tell me that tested is warranted to me.
3 - You think GE was professional by giving me mesalazine after sigmoidoscopy (when I have been told proctitis I knew nothing about causes)? You think proctitis cannot be related to HIV?
4 - Nodes - Can 2 nodes be related to autoimmune proctitis? Should I get further in analysing my nodes?
It is rather general question. I was taking mesalazine , it is an anti-inflammatory drug but has also some immunosuppressive functions. I stopped it 4 months before testing.
s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.
Mesalazine may also cause some stomach upset (read for side effects on the label).
t seem to help with the underlying problems. The doctor then prescribed Canasa (mesalazine) suppositories for 10 days, which seemed to help while I was using them (though they didn't entirely clear up the problems and also caused me to have more gas). Since completing the 10 days of using the suppositories, my symptoms have been just as bad as before I started using them, or maybe even a little worse.
Hi . I am a 20 years old male and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 8 month ago. It is proctitis and i'm currently taking 6 tabs and 2 supps of mesalazine daily.. i want to use whey protein or amino acids tab for muscle buliding .. i have asked about it from 6 different doctors and all of them advised me not to use them.. but i realy dont understand why i cant take them.. is it safe to take homemade whey protein ? Why shouldnt i take whey supplement and how can it affect my disease?
i have been using generic drugs for long time.i tried brand and generic drugs. Both results are same but generic is much cheaper than branded. there are some minor side effects like headache etc. but overall safe. I recommended to use generic drugs. At the time, my doctor informed not to take the generic form of Synthroid. I recently switched pharmacists who prescribed a generic form, Levothyroxine. After a few days of taking the medication, I noticed I had become extremely fatigued all day long and have also recently noticed irritability. I went the other way - from generic to Levoxyl. Six weeks later, my T3 and T4 had both gone down, even though the dose had remained constant. This indicated to me that the generic might have been a bit on the high side. My endo says the generic can vary as much as 15% from its stated dosage. So, if you were on 125mcg Synthroid and switched to generic (possibly containing 15% more - also could be 15% less), you'd be at approximately 144 mcg. That's a pretty big change.
