Avatar f tn It was a mercy that no one was hurt. 4. Alleviation of distress; relief: Taking in the refugees was an act of mercy. Well, today is day 4 for me and that word describes best how I feel about this forum and all of the people here! I can't say it enough, but here I go again: THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn Children's Mercy has excellent pediatric ophthalmologists and Trudi Grin MD is excellent pediatric ophthalmologist. We do not have a pediatric ophthalmologist sub-specialist in our practice.
Avatar f tn If we knew where she went, that would help in the discussion of whether to show her mercy or not. If she went to a psychiatric unit or hospice or a research hospital for high level treatment . . . okay, maybe a tiny bit of mercy. I'm going with the psychiatric issues as who has 17 pets in a rental house? (Every state has a specific number that once you are over, it is animal hoarding and 17 would be in that range for most if not all (unless they were fish!)).
Avatar f tn My Grandmother has been detected with a blockage in heart, and its not getting well by the use of medicines. Her Doctor is suggesting Angiography now. Her age is 81 by now. I wanted to take other Doctors opinion about this case.
Avatar f tn Border collies are so smart that yours would probably pull it out itself...if it had thumbs!
Avatar m tn Troponin T and Troponin I are accurate and are only released by cardiac muscle. If elevated, then they usually suggest angiography because there is a very high possibility that MI has occurred. Troponin also remains elevated for up to 14 days. Should you go for Angiography? Given the results of the test, I think the question is really "is it worth the risk not to have angiography".
Avatar f tn Hello, I am a 31 y/o ICU nurse with questions concerning dissiminated herpes and pregnancy. I've seen a few patients come thru our unit whom we have treated with acyclovir suspecting HSV involvement. All have expired (I'm sure for other reasons). I read about an otherwise healthy pregnant woman who experinced dissiniated herpes and died as a result. The reason this worries me is that we are discussing having a baby and antivirals have never helped a lot with my symptoms.
Avatar n tn But she was moving fine, until 2 weeks back she had Angina attack and we got her Angiography done yesterday which revealed that her one of the artery is blocked over 90% near the beginning. Docs recommend her to go for Stent implant. Now seeing her past history of ASD,and low platelets count. Would you recommend to go for it or not? Any risks involved in that?
Avatar n tn On the basis of this cardiologist advised to get CT coronary angiography. The result of the CT coronary angiography as given below: 1.Eccentric calcific in the RCA and distal LAD causing mild (20-30%) luminal narrowing. 2. No evidence of hypo perfusion or perfusion defects in the resting first pass myocardial enhancement. Now our cardiologists has advised to get catheter angiography to rule out further. Please advise me what should me my course of action.
Avatar n tn He was undergone a Treadmill test, a few weeks ago and the Doctor observed borderline positive Treadmill Test and suggested an Angiography. He undergone Angiography a couple of days ago and the report said that the Right Coronary Artery is 100% blocked. According to the Cardiologist, who performed Angiography, the blockage is old. But, my father has no pain (Angina), no fatigue and other common symptoms of Coronary Artery Disease. He’s perfectly alright.
Avatar n tn An angiography will give the doctor a better look into what is going on inside of your heart and arteries. It is a tool used to diagnose, and give the doctor a picture of what needs to happen for your treatment. I hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Is it advisable to go for angiography check up as six years have passed post surgery? Are there any side effects after angiography? My physician has recommended Angiography check up as life of stent is normally 10 years .I shall be pleased to receive your recommendation and advise.

551683 tn?1220656108 A TENS unit is a portable device you can wear on your belt or whatever. It has pads and wires. To the best of my knowledge, it sends vibrating pulses through the wires to the muscles where you put the pads. I guess you could compare it to what is sometimes used in physical therapy. (that's where I learned about it) You can control the intensity of the pulses. When they used one on my shoulders at PT, it really helped a lot. I know a portable unit is not the same, but works similarly.
551683 tn?1220656108 I wondered if anyone has a TENS unit? My doc. gave me a scrip for one, but I haven't checked on it yet. My thought is that it would help those big muscles across my upper back that hurt SOOOOOOO bad. Any thoughts on these TENS units?
630344 tn?1280104983 Just wondering if anyone has any advice on TENS Unit? Should or shouldn't try or if it worked for anyone for the pain?
Avatar f tn I have PAD as well as pain in legs from fibromyalgia. Would a TENS unit be safe and probably helpful for my leg pain (especially calves)?
