Avatar f tn After reading daily all the challenges everyone is going through, the common "I can't take it" statement, I came upon this article in the Men's Health magazine from the doc next door (Dr. Jeffrey T Junig) who advises in the doctor forum of addiction on medhelp. His story has truly inspired me and I hope that it will all of you as well. WARNING !! It can be quite disturbing to some, but it makes you think...if HE overcame all of that.....then surely we can as well.

Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar n tn I am a student at San Francisco State university and I am creating a magazine for teen girls with Type 1 Diabetes for my senior thesis project. My sister was diagnosed when she was 5 and now that she's 13, things are getting more difficult. I decided that a magazine aimed specifically at teen girls with diabetes might be helpful. It is going to be almost like a fashion magazine covering issues like eating disorders to politics but in a way that is interesting and accessable.
Avatar f tn Hi all! I had posted something in Men's health related to this issue last week but now that it seems to becoming a little more clear that it's not a men's health thing and a general health thing I thought I'd post here. My general question is this: When I touch my chin to my chest I feel a very quick numbness in my lower right butt cheek near the Ischial tuberosity. It only lasts for a quick minute and then goes away.
Avatar n tn So perhaps you simply need to communicate to your doctor that you have no such hesitancy and that if insulin is what you need to regain your health, you really want to go ahead and start taking insulin before your health is damaged. I wish you the very best. Once the blood sugars start to come down, you should regain some of the energy you are missing now. THEN, you absolutely MUST take the steps you need to in order to lose weight if you are too heavy.
Avatar f tn Hello~You will probably get more help in the men's health forum, I have put a request in for you for this post to be transferred there.
Avatar m tn You would definitely want to ask your doctor that question. I saw an article in a medical magazine in a hospital waiting room that said that the sperm are a bigger factor in health of a baby than previously realized. Smoking, drinking, poor sleep, poor diet, high stress, and toxins all take a toll on sperm, weakening them. I think it's a great question and worth researching.
