Avatar n tn These are my observations so far- Usually does happen to me in the early spring-summer and not ever that I can recall in the winter. Antihistamines seem to work over a few days. I think my biggest problem was that I used to think they would work right away, but I think a constant flow daily does help.
Avatar m tn Don’t buy a regular bottle of regular drinking water or spring water. This water contains more contaminants than you think—not enough to make you sick if you drink it, but you don’t want to add them to the other germs you are working to get out of your sinuses. Buy some table salt without iodine. Iodine is an irritant to some people. Sea salt is okay, as long as it has the same size grains as table salt.
Avatar n tn OMG!! 46, will be 47 in June. Can't even tell you how everything seems to be failing, wrinkling, etc. & yes, it seems like it happened overnight. Perimenopausal as well. Had complete check up recently & no major health issues. However, my gyno has me hrt's(which I REALLY want to get off of). Added into the mix of all the skin issues mentioned, I am losing my hair like CRAZY. Anyone else having hair loss issues?
Avatar f tn Only relief is ice. It started 10 years ago (was living in mountains of Colorado--sunny, but little humidity) in the summer. It comes back every year around July/August and lasts thru December, disappearing just as suddenly as it returned. Does your itch do this as well? I am awake every single night with this, although it also occurs in the daytime now. It started on my left upper arm, but seems to expand each year.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, I'm at my worst when I'm weakened by allergies (spring) or a cold, so I have to 'wait' for one or the other to trigger a wave of episodes to convince this doctor (or myself) the accuracy of his diagnosis. Meanwhile, does your epi pen work? I thought epi pens were for severe allergic reactions? What have your doctors suggested causes your episodes and what was their solution? (If you don't mind my asking...I'm not feeling very confident in my doctors right now.
288415 tn?1231634102 Like many of you, I am happy to find this forum. I am a health care provider and suffer with this issue as well. I also have Sjogren's Syndrome and wondered if there could be a connection. Indeed there is. Sjogren's Syndrome (an autoimmune condition) is unusual but can cause the very symptoms many of us have. I am relieved to know my situation could have a cause. Because this is an autoimmune condition, there is no known cure yet but there is something else for people to consider.
Avatar n tn I have the exact same symptoms you all are describing. I am an 23 year old male in good health and I was diagnosed with RRMS (Relaps-Remitting MS) when I was 18. I talked to my doctor and nurse and the sensitivity is a part of an MS relapse. I am not suggesting that everyone who experiences this feeling has MS, but it could be a possibility. It could be a result of a number of things.
Avatar n tn An old sacral bone fracture has not fully healed correctly which is also causing issue. I'm in PT right now but find the day after, I'm in more pain due to aggrivating the issues with the exercises.... anyone know if the PT is supposed to make it worse before it gets better? I feel like I don't want to go through all the PT in order to hear time for cortizone shots in your spine.....been there done that with tendonitis in my elbow and ended up with surgery after a year of PT and shots!
Avatar f tn I am not so good. I am living a life of an inactive person because I have no tolerance for exercise. I love to exercise and my dogs need a walk!!! Today I went for a lower back MRI and had a hard time holding still because of feeling crampy and cold. All of the docs say it is a coincidence that any of my problems started shortly after receiving the implant.
Avatar n tn I see lots of threads on here with the same topic, but they all have to do with taking medications, being overweight, being a current/past smoker, being depressed/having anxiety, etc. Please help - I'm tired of living like this. I'm worried that I could be living with something undiagnosed that could rear it's ugly head one day.
Avatar n tn That is a good question regarding the Rheumatology issue. I can't be sure, as this began 4 yrs. ago, but I know I had lots of blood tests. I will follow up on this with my M.D., thanks. When mine began, and it was sudden, there was fear that it was a metastisis from a malignant melanoma that I had. When I asked the first Ortho. Surgeon if he had ever heard of my symptoms he simply said "yes and that is why I am ordering an emergency MRI".
Avatar n tn One on my right hand between my pinkie and ring finger, one on my left thumb at the joint, one on the outside of my right knee (same issue with bending, but nothing else), and one on my right foor inside on the big toe. Of course if I don't move just right everything is fine, but when I do something that is just right it feels like something has ripped through my skin, muscles, bone, etc. It really is painful sometimes.
Avatar f tn The only thing I worry about is clogging the glands that are producing the oil, so I don't do it daily...maybe once a week. I will try the Irish Spring soap, that will not clog the glands...just dry out the hair. Another suggestion I haven't tried was go to a good hair dresser who has shampoos that change the PH balance of your hair (If this goes on another month I will try this. It's kinda drastic.
Avatar n tn This is a normal bacteria for the anogenital area. It becomes an issue in pregnancy, mainly for the infants sake. I don't know if it's ever something that needs to be treated in a non pregnant woman. Maybe if it sort of took over? Just like yeast is also a normal inhabitant of the female genital tract, if there is an imbalance and it overtakes the normal flora, you get symptomatic. Maybe group B strep is the same.
Avatar n tn any instructions for follow-up? did you get any meds? Seriously think about going to a naturopath for extra health support, get someone to call and drive you there. Also, go see your medical doctor if you feel that you have worsened. I got the flu shots on Nov 5th and there have been days that I felt that I went "backwards" and then I would improve again. Look at our original forum (Tingling after Swine Flu Vaccine) where there are over 150 comments for more feedback and suggestions.
Avatar n tn If you're taking this pill just to loose weight, and not for a health reason, you should stop taking it, and see that if you keep eating healthy, and walking, you'll still loose! And BTW, taking this pill 10 mins before a meal to help with your appetite is crazy! All diet pills tell you to take it 30min.s before each meal.. b/c it takes 30 min.s to start working...10 min.s? that pill isn't doing anything for you when you're eating!
Avatar n tn you will know when you have something that horrible. i don't have STDs. i switched from a 30 day BC to a 90 day BC earlier in 2008. my symptoms didn't start until Oct 2008. maybe the 90 day BC pill keeps that area of the body from having it's typical blood supply. maybe that part of the body is indirectly affected somehow during a normal cycle. i'm not a doc so i don't know. but no one else seems to have an answer. anyway, baby power helps for me.
Avatar n tn Oops! I forgot to mention that I do have a friend that took Topamax for migraines. She said it helped her immensely, but she did lose weight with it. I don't think she had any of the bad side effects, but I am not for sure.
Avatar n tn I too can relate to your story. Not just an hr ago I went through this same thing: stomach cramps and nausea; light headed, turned pale, I got really hot all over sweating from head to toe; loss in blood pressure that I couldn’t even hold my head up, felt like I would pass out; severe stomach cramps and liquid diarrhea, in my case there was no hard stool. I have experienced this problem probably 5 or 6 times in my life and I am 46.
Avatar n tn I have been married 5 times and lived with 3 others...I am living with a 45 year old Mexican Lady down here in Mexico...We play around a lot and have sex 3 to 5 times a week...I have known her for about 20 years and she still turns me on a lot ...Enjoy to see "catch" her in the nude...I am 67 yoa now...but when I was about 40 , my sex drive dropped for a few years...But I was working long hours ...Then when I was 58 I did 2 years in the Fed.

Avatar n tn I had my first IUI on February 1, 2008 and I get to test at home this Saturday. I really have had no symptoms at all, and I'm setting myself up for a negative result. After trying for so long with no success, it's difficult to put all of your hopes on the line...again and again.
