Avatar f tn Lol! I just started tinkering with Win7 so can't really compare that! I am choosing XP because I am most familar with it. I have Vista on 2 machines, and am slowly getting better with getting around it, but I think from what I have seen that win7 will be better....still have to see what "bugs" come out!!!!
Avatar n tn reasoning, and more by repeating things immediately, 15 minutes later, half hour later, little puzzles and test to test your ability to sort things and solve problems. That test takes a few hours.
Avatar n tn LOL! Yes, the better the system gets the worse it gets indeed. Guess my older computer isn't so bad after all!
228686 tn?1211554707 ll admit, there are visual aspects of Vista I like better than XP, and in some ways they made some of the things a bit more clever than with XP. But it is a recent alpha/beta release, so it's got some issues. My BIGGEST problem is auto update. I've had nightmares come up from auto-update, so I shut it down. Those updates tend to be VERY glitchy (I'm gonig through one right now. Been three days trying to figure out which update I allowed caused the problem.
Avatar n tn Are there any other programs, software, games that can help working memory instead of this program? There are many software games that are said to be memory boosters that basically do the same thing. You aren't affiliated with Cogmed, that is why I would like an honest opinion. Also, if there are anyone in this community that has taken the program with there children, please let us know how it went. Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn Yes vista isnt worth the money they still need to improve the software daam Bill Gates
Avatar f tn In an alarming development for both Microsoft and the millions who use its Internet Explorer browsers, hackers have found a security hole that allows them to install malicious software on Windows computers.* Specifically, security researcher Eric Romang of Zataz.com discovered on Sunday that the fresh "zero day" vulnerability allowed cybercrooks to use a form of the old Poison Ivy trojan to take control of victims' machines.
Avatar m tn using Windows XP. Not sure if available for Mac. The company is Nuance so you can probably check their website to see if they have a Mac compatible version. As you can see, I'm still new and before example, didn't know how to either spell your name capitalize the first letter of the post. Of course I could read the manual LOL but that isn't likely for all while.
Avatar m tn The EKG is not a very good test to determine a heart valve issue....EKG is good for a rhythm disorder and that is not associated with MVP. Many individuals have congenital MVP and the condition never progesses nor present any symptoms. The best test if warranted is an echocardiogram for a valve issue. You can accept you have MVP and not be concerned, or you can ask for an evaluation of the condition with an echo.

PLUS I had to have a new MRI (even though just had brain in April) of my ORBITS this time. (Neuro-opthamologist was NOT happy with quality of previous one... 228686 tn?1211554707 Disk Pro for defrag, eh? I'll have to try that. Is it shareware or do you have to shell out plastic money symbols for it online? So far that's three utilities that Vista has that don't work. i'm hunting for a new back up program since I finally nailed down a microsoft tech who admitted Vista's back up software doesn't really work with CD back up. It's to slow and tends to fail half way through (I had three back ups fail after two hour's work).
Avatar n tn I'm a first time mommy too! I just learned it's normal because during an ultrasound my baby boy was moving in all kinds of crazy positions and changing it up the whole time!
Avatar f tn I had my second cataract surgery at the end of Jan. 2011 and was given Soothe XP to use (I have very dry eyes). Looking at the bottle now--couldn't see to read it then--I see that it expires 3/10. I like this drop a LOT. Searching the web, I see that Soothe XP was recalled for all bottles dated 2/11 through 8/12. My questions: 1) Can I still use my bottle labelled 3/10? 2) if not, can you suggest an alternative for very dry eyes with lens replacements?
Avatar f tn Keep your Windows operating systems up-to-date, and use reliable anti-virus software. Many trustworthy security software companies offer a free version of their product. Examples include Avast, and AVG. If you are up-to-date, you are no more vulnerable now, than you were yesterday, or last week. The problem that's being speculated here is simply that the virus is scheduled to use a new algorithm, connecting it to different domains. It could potentially receive new instructions...
Avatar n tn If he is not able to use either of the two families of stimulant medications because of the side effects, a trial on Strattera would be prudent. Finally, relative to his WM deficit, you may want to consider Cogmed Working Memory Training, a software-based approach to enhancing working memory capacity. The five-week, at-home, computerized program helps many children and adults to enhance their working memory (and attentional) skills (see www.cogmed.com).
560501 tn?1383612740 ) and I may be able to point you in the direction of some free software either for your computer or browser plug-ins (or something like greasemonkey scripts) that would alter the way websites display on your screen to make reading easier. There are various options in this regard, including changing the size of text, reducing the "extra" distracting stuff that often displays around the main content on web pages, changing colors/contrast to something which is easier on the eyes ...
648910 tn?1290663083 Hi, I'm going from memory here, I seem to recall that in the upper right hand corner of my latest MRI, I noticed a 1.5 before the serial number for the machine. I'm sure that different places have different software, and you might not find it there. I think that most of the newer machines include the strength of the machine in the serial number. If you can't find it, you can call the MRI department where you had it done and ask.

474119 tn?1273841478 0 is a great programme, but it does have limited memory and cannot run a new application quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 9.
Avatar m tn The XP fire wall only protects from incoming attacks...it does not protect you from outgoing information on your system...the new vista protects both ways of traffic ...bit you have configure it...and its a pain....be careful using windows firewall...
Avatar f tn Sounds like you did the glucose test. I'm not sure what your blood type has to do with it, though, or what shot you needed that they didn't have. I've never heard of that. The glucose test is completely harmless. It's just to check to see if you have gestational diabetes or not.
144586 tn?1284666164 Similarly a test in a sensior citizens center found the computer software will not permit downloading of the program. A third test in an internet cafe demonstrated the survey cannot be downloaded. A fourth test in a deli pay computer also blocked the survey. This suggests that many people are not going to be able to answer the survey, who would desire to do so, and the outcome will be biased. This should suggest that a new survey be devised without the .exe file.
Avatar n tn t move for the whole time. It took 3 tries to see his gender and they did a blood test on me just to make sure.
