Ram, please do not worry about your life expectancy. You could walk out on the street tomorrow and be hit by a bus! But I will quote my old GI doctor "I've seen some people live up to late 70s with this disease and the disease is not what kills them, it's usually something else".

I am new to this forum. I had Chiari srgery in 2001 in Dallas by David Barnett. Prior to surgery I had terrible headaches, afterwards I felt cured. I still am in good shape as far as pain goes. However lately I have been having difficulty with my short term memory and this worries me. Is there anyone that has experienced this and is there any help for my memory.
If the shortness of breath is new, I would talk to your doctor. If I saw a similar patient in the office, I would do an interview, physical exam, EKG and then probably a stress test and echocardiogram. If all tests came back normal, I would encourage to continue to exercise and take the stairs. Normal heart VT is not dangerous and exercise is a good thing.
So I have gestational diabetes and it gets pretty bad sometimes and I'm already on medicine for it.. well I'm supposed to keep track of my blood sugar four time a day and I haven't been able to since last Friday which is not good... I was referring to memory issues, dizziness, being clumsy .......gait and balance issues, vision issue...we all have them.
Many r scared who will this turn us into....u will always be u, albeit with a few limitations....u will not change that drastically.
Relax, and try to learn what u can....
Most probably you are Hep B negarive. Check antibodies. Take vaccination if required.
