I always manual breathe. I have no clue as to how to breathe normally. I am trying yoga now, they say it's great for your health, it teaches u how to breathe right, and it keeps your joints flexible. I loved my medela manual! I had a double electric and a manual and I always got more milk with the manual :) so I'm not even bothering getting an electric one this time, just getting the manual again!

Manual is pointless to me. I could hand express faster then the manual.

I have an electric to use again, but will have the avent manual as a back up. I def recommend the manual since ur insurance only covers it, but renting from the hospital is also another option..

But after your milk comes in electrics do get milk out faster.

The choice between manual or electric is really a by person thing. I personally didn't like manuals because I would break them from over use. And electric were much more useful. That being said I have friends that breast feed that would only use manual and hated electrics lol. Also some women manually express milk and do very well with this method.

Then after start pumping so daddy and big sisters can feed. Since i will not be pumping often my ? Is manual or electric. I believe single pump will be fine. This is a first time thing for me so all input is welcomed and appreciated.

Alright a few of us ladies were just talking. Someone mentioned writing a manual for ppl on kids! Give what you'd write in your manual for someone u were letting what your kid. Ill just give one I'd put! 1)No pop! They are hyper enough they do not need pop!

I agree with above. If you plan to pump frequently then the electric one is worth the money. But if you want a pump "just in case" then a manual one should be fine. When I had my first daughter, I started with just a manual one, but when I went back to work I realized I wanted to continue to breastfeed and the manual one just want going to cut it. So I ended up buying a double electric one.

I'm thinking about getting a manual Avent breast pump just cuz I have Avent bottles lol but what are your opinions on manual breast pumps?? What do you prefer?

They try not to give out the double pumps unless you are having trouble breast feeding or pumping with the manual. The manual pump they give you is pretty decent though. Next appt or if the manual isnt working ask about seeing a specialist.

Check ur insurance but when I had my son I had to buy my own I got a manual cuz it was cheap and en electric for work and ended up using the manual fora yr cuz it got way more outta me. I could sit in the locker room and pump play on my phone and eat lunch while pumping and alot of times had the bottle overflowing in 10mins one side I struggled getting 3oz in 10mins with the electric.

Im buying the manual ones. Because i heard the electronic once hurt your boobies and make them more sore then necessary. And i don't want that lol so im buying the Avent manual pump. Its like 45 bucks verses an electronic one for 150 ...

m planing on breastfeeding my baby for as long as the baby wants it and was looking at breast pumps I was gona buy tommy tippee manual one but I read some bad reviews. the Phillips avent 1 is getting good reviews and the Mam manull pump.so for mums who used manual pump which would u recommend.I'm not planing on pumping milk much just when going out,which won't be everyday.

You can tottaly get one from WIC and dont get a manual one cause using your hands is better than the manual...

between my electric and manual i for sure prefered the manual pump hands down! lol i found i was able to get more milk faster with it and its a lot quieter.... but on that note i didnt have a madela pump and if i was to get another electric i would for sure spend the extra money for that brand.... for my manual pump its a avente pump and i wouldnt use any other brand for that either...
