a few weeks back i got a call from nurse, who said blood is very low, and although iron is high, that i needed to be TAKING iron- she suggested Palafer with folic acid. WHen i asked WHY- she explained that although my body is holding onto the iron, it is not using it, so therefore we need to introduce some. I got no name iron (same as palafer) and shorlty thereafter ALSO ended up on the Eprex (in USA procrit) as Hemoglobin low (97).

In addition to having to TAKE iron on Tx, I am told by my nurse that my thyroid out of whack, too high... My Question is - does or did anyone else have this experience, of having thyroid out of whack while on TX? I still have to go for blood work so donot know much more than it is "high" will update later- and if ANYONE knows what this means, I'd appreciate any suggestions.

I understand your skepticism about CCSVI. I am scheduled for January 7, 2011 at Albany Medical Center for my first treatment. CCSVI is real, and it may not be related to Multiple Sclerosis. Little is known about veins - they are the stepchildren of vascular science. Veins are far more variable that arteries. The Albany group has done over 1,000 angioplasties. So far, 1/3 get markedly better, 1/3 see some improvement in symptoms, and 1/3 get no result.

i realize every experience is different but PLEASE be careful with your second choice of albany medical...i'm going for repair surgery next month(brain surgery number 3) because they were a bit too agressive in their surgery and took out too much bone.....please please please do LOTS of research and find a real specialist that does more than 8 surgeries a year with you being the 8th....I dont mean to be a downer but i would NEVER want anyone to go down the same path that i have gone down....

Hi, I found a very good chiropracter and that helped more than flexirl. A good chiro takes x-rays first before they touch you. Also a massage , especially a sports massage helps. Also an ice pack.
