1246883 tn?1285547973 I immediately started to gain weight. And stopped the Seroquel immediately (mid Dec). I know this is one of the side effects. I gained about 5lbs. Being 5'9" and weighing 135, I felt the 5 extra pounds would come off with eating better and a few more yoga classes . But the weight kept coming. I got down to a dietary intake of about 1000 cals. But that mad no difference.
Avatar n tn Yes, my doc said it is ok to take the ambein every day. It is not supposed to be addicting. but I do think you get dependent on it. You think you are not going to sleep without it so you go ahead and take it every night. I tried lunesta but couldn't get past the taste. It stayed with me all night. I also take ambein . It helps with irritability.
Avatar f tn If I had known that this medicine would have such an adverse effect on me I never would have taken it. My doctor never told me of the possible side effects and prescribed me more. When I had clear side effects, of the Ambien CR, my doctor didn't even know it. I'm not passing the blame to her because I should have paid more attention to what was going into my body. I wish that I had done more research on sleep aids before I thought of taking it.
Avatar n tn t tolerate any alcohol with metroidazole, others tolerate a little. If you have a normally sensitive stomach, you should use regular toothpaste for the time being.
Avatar f tn To use very short term, possibly even skipping nights is ok. How many did he give you and for how long? Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?
2030686 tn?1351688548 If you are careful not to touch the needle it is sterile, if you touch it with something like an alcohol swab, it is less sterile. Alcohol swabs are good at cleaning surface dirt, but not so much for sterility, that is why it is not used for sterility in hospitals. In paramedic school, they taught us that the only germs that alcohol kills are the ones that cannot swim...
Avatar f tn Question- has anyone else had problems with Lunesta and Adderall? or heard of anyone having issues with these meds? Or a reliable study showing these results or similar.
Avatar m tn There was some talk about sleep aids in a recent post. I am not sure how many of you are familiar with, or are looking for a non habit forming sleep aid. My doctor put me on a drug called Trazadone when I was going through Sub W/D's. It is actually an anti depressant and one of the side effects is it knocks you out. So it is a tremendous sleep aid, especially when you are suffering from chronic RLS and other annoying side effects of withdrawals.
Avatar f tn d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.
Avatar f tn Hi, I've taken 6 mg lunesta, 8 mg ativan, zzzquil (benadryl with 10% alcohol). I also take Luvox and desipramine daily. Any chance this is too much? Really want to sleep but insomnia.
Avatar n tn I too am on 175 - 200mg of Zoloft and I admit when first starting the medication I was feeling quite dizzy and nauseated. Dosage started at 50mg, then after a week increased, and every week increased until I reached 175mg. In the past my doctor has had me on Celexa and Effexor but Zoloft seems to work the best, for me that is. Everyone is different. I waver between 175 - 200mg depending on the kind of day I'm having.
Avatar n tn ) Formication can also be a withdrawal symptom of weaning oneself off cocaine or amphetamine. It can also accompany alcohol withdrawal in alcoholics, along with delirium tremens.
Avatar m tn I think the biggest side effect that you might have will be insomnia. I used to take Lunesta and when I stopped I didn't sleep for a week. On a positive note,,,COngrats on 20days!!!
Avatar f tn My friend just quit taking Chantix due to the inability to handle the side effects. She has noticed that since quitting the Chantix alcohol has effected her differently. While on the Chantix she noticed the effects of alcohol tokk in quite quickly where now she seems to have a tolerance that was not there before. Is it possible that theh Chantix caused her intolerabilty to alcohol?
Avatar n tn I want something safe that I will only be taking for 5-7 days at night so I can sleep with the withdrawals. I have learned that Lunesta is not a good option due to the side effects. Thanks Susan.
355483 tn?1206186193 I have never had any adverse side effects (sleepwalking, blacking out, etc) or had any issues with it. While I probably shouldn't have, a couple of times I have taken an extra pill when really having trouble sleeping, or if I wake up in the middle of the night. But even then I haven't had any desire to "abuse" it. I was just wondering how/why it can become addictive so I can avoid it. I'm thinking there are things about it I don't know...
327369 tn?1326119908 Hi, I've had major sleep issues since my thyroid enlarged, possible hyperthyroid, will know for sure 19th of this month. But, most times melatonin is a natural sleep aid, that helps me get a good nights rest, with no side affects. I use it occassionally. I've tried Lunesta, Etc.... in the past, Melantonin alway's worked best. Give it a try. Good luck !
1714202 tn?1352672419 m on lamictal, abilify, and ativan. Does anyone know the interactions mixing those with alcohol? Any help would be great thanks!
Avatar n tn Treatment with Ambien may cause side effects like impairment of thinking or reactions. You may still feel sleepy the morning after taking the medication. In patients with liver disorder, a smaller dose of Ambien is generally prescribed. Ambien addiction is a serious problem requiring treatment. The signs of ambien withdrawal are insomnia, fatigue, sweating, stomach cramps, and panic attacks.
Avatar f tn Valerian root, its natural, works great, and has no negative side effects.
Avatar n tn My friend Roberto has told me about a new product that is advertised on TV called Straight2sleep that he is trying. He said that it is all natural and gives him a great night sleep with no side effects. Do you know of this product and how effective is it? He said that it was created by Robert Rudelic condition trainer for the Okland Raiders at one time. All that I have to go on is Roberto and his cousin Armando who are trying this and so far they are sleeping all night and waking up refreshed.
Avatar m tn Oh and....If you wanna stay the OTC route, try Benadryl. Its the exact same thing as the active ingredient in Tylenol PM. Just without the Tylenol. So its a way better route to go. Unfortunately, like in my case, Benadryl isnt always enough to put one to sleep. So then you'd probably have to go the Rx route.
