Lump behind knee no pain

Common Questions and Answers about Lump behind knee no pain

lump

Avatar f tn If i am walking for more than 10-15minutes, i begin to get an aching pain with in my knee behind my patella. This pain leads to the feeling of something being placed within my joint like a wooden block that restricts me from straightening my leg. As i straighten my knee i can feel the lump deep inside the joint. Along with this i have begun to experience strange episodes of my joint swelling, numbing, stinging and going extremely red and hot.
Avatar f tn I started having unexplainable severe knee pain. No idea how or why. No injury, no swelling, no bruising. I had my knee examined, Xrays done, and everything looked great. I decided to change the sneakers I was using to exercise and actually use sneakers when using the eliptical at home and as God is my witness - problem solved!!!!!!!! No more knee pain. I hope my story helps someone.
Avatar m tn Physiotherapist said Osgood-Schlatter Disease... no website i can find says you get that behind the knee.. So...Thoughts? (Physio would have known if it was anything obvious?
250155 tn?1485299539 i have no idea! it doesn't seem to cause her any pain. there is also no mark on the skin like a bite or anything. and there is no redness or swelling either. i called the doc today and they told me to call back next week since it doesn't seem to be hurting her. does anyone have any idea on what this could possibly be?
Avatar n tn I have NO lump or bump behind my knee. THe pain is a throbbing pinching pain. (maybe even a pinched nerve)? It is worse when i am sitting for long periods and then stand to walk. I'll have to limp for less than a minute, and then it will go away on its own (for a bit). I guess i'd like to know your opinions on what else it could be? Sometimes it feels like pressure, other times burning..it's very odd. Thank you.
Avatar f tn The knee is mobile and there is no activity that brings pain except for the kneeling. I have never had surgery on the knee, I have had no injury to the knee. I exercise moderately and am not considered overweight--well at least for a 53 year old man--but I was riding a stationary bike more frequently (4-5 x per week) and at a higher resistance level for a few month before this pain. If anyone knows what this is, any contribution to this thread would be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I had a great physical therapist who worked with me aggressively for a month, then I did specialized therapy on my own for about 3 months. I still do some knee-specific exercises, and I have absolutely no pain in my knee, and it's been that way for months. I'm a 67-yr old woman, very active & athletic and have worked out all my life, so physical therapy was nothing new to me. If one has never worked out much or isn't used to exercise, I'd expect their recovery would be much slower.
Avatar n tn It looks quite exaggerated when compared with the left knee which is normal, with no pain. About 3 yrs ago I did have problem with what felt like a painful tightness behind the same knee, which became quite uncomfortable when going down on my haunches. It now seems to have moved to the ouside of the knee as described. The pain is not unbearable yet but is becoming more uncomfortable with time. I played a huge amount of squash when I was younger but not for the past 12 years.
Avatar n tn Wait until about now to make a descision about the pain that is still here, and only leaves if I eat nothing at all. No drink, no food of any kind, if I do I am in pain. I have the worse pain in the am, but really gets bad after eating any type of fat. I think it may be pancreatitus, but blood levels do not show that. any ideas, please respond. Thanks for your attention.
Avatar m tn i experience all most all symptoms but no fever at all even pain in groin and armpits ,but no swelling, now i have uncomfortable parotid gland little hard when i touch it,and uncomfortable neck also ,please help .
Avatar n tn Brief history ~ 55 yr old male retired 5 years ago, due to knee problems (DJD) ~ am taking Relefen for knees & Accupril for mild hypertension. Quit smoking & drinking about 15 years ago ~ cholestrol is a little high, am overweight ... but other than that I'm relatively healthy i.e., heart/blood sugar, etc. To the point, a couple days ago I had a sharp searing pain in my upper right backside ... flank ... a few inchesbelow & behind my right armpit.
Avatar f tn My 14 yr old poodle has a lump on her knee. I took her to the vet and I was told that it was a tumor. On March 15, 2012 when I took her it was as big as a golf ball, and since them it has grown as big as a baseball. Her vet informed me since she is so old he did not feel confident to do the surgery to remove it. She shows no symptoms of pain but she does look very uncomfortable. People tell me I should put her to sleep, but I am not ready and I don.t think she is either.
Avatar n tn I have suffered on & off for years with this. X ray & examination showed nothing. I am fit & healthy normally. It can be gone for years & then come back & stay for months. The pain is very sharp & brief & then goes without leaving any pain behind. It makes my eyes water the pain is so sharp. No rhyme or reason for the attacks.................. Anyone, any Ideas!!!!!
Avatar n tn I get sick a lot. - Fatigue, never having energy to go out. - Depression. - Lump on my head right behind my left ear. - Extremely itchy rash on my right leg, below my knee. - I'm always pulling the muscles in my neck. [ticks] They come and go. - Feeling "out of it" and dizzy often. - Severe mood swings. - Bruised easily, I always have a bunch of bruises on me. - Can never sleep at night and sometimes sleep all day..other times I don't sleep at all. - Weird eating patterns.
Avatar m tn Tightness or stiffness behind the knee. Swelling behind the knee that may get worse when you stand. Slight pain behind the knee and into the upper calf. You are most likely to feel this when you bend your knee or straighten it all the way. Sometimes the pocket of fluid behind the knee can tear open and drain into the tissues of the lower leg. This can cause swelling and redness in that part of the leg. diagnosis?
Avatar f tn I am unable to kneel as it feels like a massive burst of pain behind the knee into my calf muscle as if i have severly sprained it. When standing, if i transfer any weight onto my right leg, i get pain from the back of the knee right down my calf. It is a constant pain when any weight is bearing on it but if i kneel or bend the leg with weight on it, the pain is like a muscle pull and extremely painful. When walking there is no pain at all.
Avatar f tn It is VERY painful, but not discolored at all. However, the veins behind that knee are all of a sudden getting really dark. The lump is hard to the touch. I also have a small lump in my right buttocks. It has been there for about 2 months, this one is smaller than the one on my thing and not painful, but my doctor has referred me to see a surgeon about the lumps. but it is going to be about another month before I even meet with the surgeon. I am VERY worried...
Avatar n tn Even right down to the swallowing, the mildly achy back pain on the back exactly behind the lump. Weird!!!!! Thanks again!
215234 tn?1305146561 Hi, I'm hoping for some help with the following problem, as having just finished a course of antibiotics ( Azithromycin 500) for a suspected "lymph node infection" which apparently is pressing on the Trigeminal nerve. I am still finding the pain unbearable, & feel its only subsided slightly.
Avatar f tn and yes, in the back of my mind, in spite of all worries, I keep reminding myself that there are plenty more benign causes of lumps than malignant ones, and that the 2 I had previously were both benign, so I try to stay hopeful.
Avatar n tn '[ but the antibiotics have work alot, but i have finished them today, but im going to go back to the doctor just to check it... the lump is no longer there and the redness has gone... but when you press on it, you can feel something... its hard =S .... Can anyone help !! as i dont want to go to hospital and get like knocked out :'[ Do you think the hardness will go?.. or will another lump come up? Any advice..
Avatar m tn Also, there is no relation between leg pain and testicular lump. I think the pain you are referring to could be due to orchitis or Epididymitis. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs are useful in the treatment of these conditions. I would suggest that you visit a urologist for further assistance on treatment for this. Best.
Avatar f tn Severe joint pain in the knee and later also in the fingers. The knee thing turned out to be ostenecrosis where the femur of my right leg was dying. now I think this was all caused by the Tamoxifen, but what matters is that my vit D was very, very low, and it is in many people with cancer and bc. After I found supplements that were effective, and the D normalized, my leg and knee went back to normal. it just started one day without any injury or provocation and it stopped the same way.
Avatar m tn This is again my observations of 8 mnths, as most of my reports are normal showing no cause of pain in joints n all over body.In different body parts like back of neck, head etc, when touched, my hand can feel some mass or lump like. This makes me think that it could be some sort of prob with calcium. During this 8 mnths, i have observed that shape of my fingers have changed a lot(both hands and legs). Some fingers are turned outward n some are turned inwards.
Avatar n tn Does any one have pain in cycles such as two weeks you can stand the pain and start to feel a little better and then wham your down with pain worse then before. Not that the pain or the lump or the shoulder pain goes away it just with pain killers you can live with it? My next step is to go see a pain specialist who when I gave my sypmtoms to said over the phone that they didnt agree with the GP or the surgeron. Ok so that is my next step on the 24 of Nov ,09 .

Avatar n tn I am 19 years old, female, healthy, normal eating habits, etc, but I do not burp. I've tried drinking soda, swallowing air, etc, and it just makes me feel uncomfortable but doesn't make me burp. Instead, my throat gurgles. The best way to describe the sound is like a stomach growling, only in the throat. It's incredibly embarrassing and I can't prevent it from happening. It tends to happen a lot after I drink juice or soda, but also sometimes after meals where I only drank water.
Avatar n tn Surgery is best if your pain is relatively constant or dramatically interferes with your ability to work, exercise, or otherwise enjoy life. If it is only present intermittently then I would hold off unless it gets rather severe.
Avatar n tn I had tried to clean the infected area, which did puss a little. It has now sunken far below the surface. The lump causes only minor pain. Does anyone have any ideas on what this might be? Thanks!
Avatar n tn I'm certainly happy that nothing was found, but am left with worsening (almost ever-present now) symptoms and no answers. The pain is typically under the lower right side of my ribcage, but sometimes radiates higher in my chest. If I curl my fingers under my ribs it is usually quite tender, all the way down the length of my liver. Two weeks ago my stools had an orange hue to them (I assume this is what is refered to as "clay colored"?).
