Avatar n tn I was taking Linzess and it didn't work and they offer a refund as long as you have your receipt and tell them why, etc.? Do you know if the manufacturer who makes Lubiprostone offers a refund if it doesn't work?
Avatar m tn All of the above forces the integrity of tight junctions, when taken together it’s a kick. Anything that will seal the gut tight junction is good. When you take them, you can go overdose on many. We should look for more of this. If you feel a slight pain in the gut, there’s one that is not good for you, for me it was the zinc. Remove that. When taken you should feel a relief in your gut. Anything that opens up tight junctions or harsh on epithelial cells should be avoided.
1880475 tn?1579232941 It helps maintain the tight junctions between the cells in the gut lining. As for the research on PATM, that was done over a decade ago by Dr. Gaspari, if I remember the name correctly. You'll have to search back through the old forum backup to about 15 yrs ago. As a side note, Morgellons is just delusional parasitosis and nothing to do with patm, so we can give that a rest.
Avatar m tn you know the metal that connects the trains cars together? I feel on that crossing the junctions (where i work) Ever since that fall it hurts to walk, sit kneel crouch. I feel like I'm 60 but I'm 27... I thought i could walk this off but i guess not... anyone help please?
Avatar m tn Leaky gut is a term sometimes used by naturopathic doctors to describe an irritated and damaged gut lining that can lead to more food intolerances, and the theory is that the tight junctions in between the cells of your gut lining get loosened, by inflammatory foods, bad bugs pushing out your good gut flora and chronic stress.
Avatar f tn People sometimes mistake it for heart issues. But it is inflammation inflammation of the junctions where the upper ribs join with the cartilage that holds them to the breastbone, or sternum. Not sure though since you have no pain. I would go to the doctor and have them take a look. Is that possible?
Avatar f tn My first ecg during chest pain showed ‘irregularly irregular rhythm’ with a sinus arrhythmia, short PR interval and ST junctions depression non-specific. My second one during chest pain 3 days later showed TWI in V2 and V3. A week after my second one when chest pains resolved (the come and go every few days) my ecg showed PACs. I do have bouts of random sinus tachycardia throughout the day with no cause or trigger.
Avatar n tn Tietze syndrome usually affects the bone-cartilage junctions of the second and third ribs. The swelling may last for several months. The syndrome can develop as a complication of surgery on your sternum, months to years after the operation. However, the cause is usually unknown. It could be the breast bone has not completely heeled and has been aggravated from time to time and now causing the pain. Seems unlikely after so many years, but it is possible.
Avatar f tn I'm looking for other moms or young adult males who report mom was given 17-Hydroxyprogesterone injections during their high risk pregnancy, like myself , who also report a son w/ low T levels, low LH, etc. and low sperm count. I'm trying to find out if the injections to the pregnant mom may have an effect on a male fetus hormone development, showing up later in his life, after puberty. I can not find case studies where these (17P) babies were hormonally tested as they aged.
Avatar n tn I have had very high B12 on testing before. (though not recently) I do eat red meat (free range) I do eat seaweed. I don't take any iodine supplements. (did try once briefly and just felt terribly wrong). I do love cranberries, but haven't eaten them much recently. I eat a very healthy diet, though not alot of food. I am not overweight or underweight. I don't seem to need much food to maintain a fair weight.
20852519 tn?1537988218 The cervicomedullary cervicothoracic junctions are currently intact. C4-5 and C5-6 disc osteophyte effaces the sac and abuts the anterior cord. There is deformity of the cord. FYI: I am currently undergoing pain treatment, (acupuncture, injections, burning nerves), but am still always in pain. This doctor working on me speaks terrible English and I just want to get a better handle on this so I don't end up paralyzed from the neck down.
Avatar f tn Non-compact myelin is distinguished by tight junctions, gap junctions, and adherens junctions, between the apposed cell membrane of the myelin sheath. The function of peripheral nerves is to conduct action potentials. In unmyelinated axons, action potentials conduct continuously, and slowly, about 1 meter/second. In myelinated axons, action potentials jump from node to node; this is called saltatory conduction and is much faster (up to 80 meters/second) than continuous conduction.
Avatar m tn I’ve read several papers that showed different strains don’t always help leakygut, some don’t do anything and some make it worse, but some really closes up tight junctions and increases the efficiency and amount of epithelial cells in vitro experiments. The strains that really help, are actually helping leakygut and increasing immunity. So whenever leakygut is decreased, immunity increases. They go hand in hand.
Avatar f tn It is however interesting to note that ascent of these bacteria are also being hampered by the urethra and the bladder and ureter junctions which are considered mechanical barriers. So other factors have to be present like instrumentation, mechanical obstruction, poor hygiene, unprotected sexual intercourse, low immune response. I hope this helps.
Avatar n tn Costochondritis is an inflammation of the junctions where the upper ribs join with the cartilage that holds them to the breastbone or sternum. Costochondritis is caused by very deep breathing, exercise or any expantion of the ribcage more than normal. This is extrememly common and the way to relieve it is to not exercise until it heals and apply ice or heat, and take maybe some asprin for the pain.
Avatar m tn This condition is inflammation of the junctions where the upper ribs join with the cartilage that holds them to the breastbone or sternum. It is localized chest pain that you can reproduce by pushing on the cartilage in the front of your ribcage. Costochondritis is a relatively harmless condition and usually goes away without treatment. The cause is usually unknown.
1626440 tn?1299396101 Hi, I have alot of sx including that which is linked to my IBS and diverticulosis...if your pain is in the left lower quadranr right at or above your left iliac crest (the "curved part of your hip cage") then I would have a doctor check it out...since that is a frequent code orange for many problems occurring in the junctions between the small intestine and the colon. Also, do you have the pain "right before" the urge to "go"?

My second one during chest pain 3 days later showed TWI in V2 and V3. A week after my second one when chest pains resolved (the come and go every few days) my ecg showed PACs. (Prior to chest pain i had a normal ecg with no abnormalities) I do have bouts of random sinus tachycardia throughout the day with no cause or trigger.
Avatar m tn No other lesion in the corpus collosum or temporal lobes. No intracranial mass or mass effect.Gray white junctions are distinct. Brainstem and cerebellum are normal in appearance. Flow voids are identified in the anterior and posteriorcirculation. No area of restricted diffusion. No abnormal regions of enhancement. My daughter was involved in a MVA where she broke/fractured the c1 & suffered from a severe blow to the head and brachial plexus injury.
749963 tn?1298037994 The ventricles and sulci are unremarkable without evidence of hydrocephalus, elevated intracranial pressure, significant focal mass effect or shift of the midline structures. The midline structures and craniocervical junctions are unremarkable. No abnormal intra or extra axial fluid collections are present. The internal carotid, verberal and basilar flow-voids are present.

3579244 tn?1347633050 I do believe there are now special stents for bifurcation positions (junctions). Maybe a biodegradable stent? one which dissolves over a period of months and leaves just the artery wall. It sounds like you may need a second opinion from a much more experienced cardiologist, yours should be able to give you a name and phone number.
Avatar f tn In this multiple areas of tenderness are found that reproduce the described pain. The upper costal cartilages at the costochondral or costosternal junctions are most frequently involved .The areas of tenderness are not accompanied by heat, erythema, or localized swelling.
Avatar f tn Does anyone else have the issue that everything feels tight on the stomach? I'm 15 weeks I bought a larger size panty hose already but it feels so tight on my stomach...
