I was taking Linzess and it didn't work and they offer a refund as long as you have your receipt and tell them why, etc.? Do you know if the manufacturer who makes Lubiprostone offers a refund if it doesn't work?

t find any info on how long prep takes to be effective against receptive oral. How long does it take for prep to be effective against receptive oral? Lastly I read prep for 28 days after exposure works as PEP. Is this true or do I need to get more than Truvada for PEP as some sites say?

I have my first colonoscopy coming up in two days and picked up my prep package today, something I haven't seen mentioned here, called Halflytely & Bisacodyl tablets. I'm supposed to take the two pills at noon tomorrow (clear liquid diet), and then after a bowel movement occurs (or at most six hours later), drink the powder that I have mixed in a two-liter jug with water and refrigerated. 8 cups, one every 10 minutes. Hey everyone, I last had unprotected sex (insertive - I am a gay male) around May 18, 2019. I posted previously on here about being on PreP and how this would have possibly delayed results. I stopped taking my PreP on June 1, 2019 and waited the full 28 days until July 5, 2019 and was tested w/ a 4th generation duo - result was negative. I know this is not 100% accurate. After this result, I immediately began retaking my PreP and did not have sex.

I read that incorrectly and thought you meant PEP. PrEP is different. Pep is taken after a risk for HIV to help prevent getting it. Prep is a daily drug taken for specific circumstances. Really, that is supposed to be used in high risk situations prophylactilly such as when someone has an ongoing sexual relationship with someone who is HIV+ or other very high risk circumstances to prevent getting HIV.

I have been taking prep for 6 to 7 months, I have an hiv scare because I was afraid of breaking up with my partner. We have been having unprotected sex for months and I never missed a dose of prep. I had been advised to also get ginger ale to rinse the prep down with. I did - The whole thing was way better than I thought it would be. I set up a TV tray in the bathroom - magazines, my laptop, cellphone- no biggie. Didn't even have to spend the WHOLE time in there. Got a good night sleep the night before.

Gosh, that surprises me (that you didn't have the prep) I also had the laparoscopic but did have the ghastly prep... then about a month later, I had to have a colonoscopy .. was due for one and they wanted to see what that pain was... They gave me the other stuff: .(phospho soda) which I thought was worse than the citrate of Magnesia.. You'd think I'd have lost weight but no way...Anyway, good luck with whatever they decide for you !!

m concerned about the fact that the prep has different ingredients, and also starting the second part of the prep at 3 am. Every time I wake from sleep, I get very strong heart pounding in my chest, anxiety, and I am slightly off balance. (I'm 75, no spring chicken, and there is no way I could run to the bathroom repeatedly when waking from sleep. If I tried, the heart pounding would get worse and I'm likely to lose balance and fall on the way.

s not as much liquid to drink as the old full-gallon Nulytely prep. The Halflytely prep worked well for me five years ago, when I didn't have any heart issues. But now I have PVCs (not every day like two years ago, but I still get them) and in the last few months I've also developed a pounding heart. During those pounding episodesor palps, which occur several times a day and last for 30 minutes to an hour, my pulse is usually quite regular, no PVCs.

s negative, even though barebacking was his first option. I have been on Prep since October 2016, I take it consistently. As the bttm I always use Condoms as a 2nd layer of protection, anyway, while having sex, the condom broke, the guy pulls out and says, I think the condom broke, then retracted his statement and claimed it hadn't, he then continues to insert his penis inside but I checked the condom to make sure and in fact it was broken.
