Avatar n tn I was taking Linzess and it didn't work and they offer a refund as long as you have your receipt and tell them why, etc.? Do you know if the manufacturer who makes Lubiprostone offers a refund if it doesn't work?

Avatar n tn t legally provide in forums that information, I would check online as well many can provide monographs about most meds. If you are considering upping your dosage, ensure you speak to your health team before you do anything, it may not be working properly or you may need a med change.

Avatar f tn Therapeutic Guide to Herbal Medicines is the English translation. If bought new is rather expensive but can be found used... and at many libraries. Of course this means that in Germany herbals are regulated unlike in the USA!!! MT can cleans the liver. I am not sure of the recommended dose.
Avatar n tn Also I have not read the Adverse Events section in the Peg Or Teleprevir or Riba drug Monographs in quite some time so I am rusty when it comes to that. Best of luck to you and I wish you a speedy rehabilitation.
Avatar m tn Alosetron has been approved for women with IBS and severe diarrhea and that too under strict vigilance and research program. Similarly Lubiprostone may be prescribed to men and women with IBS and constipation, again under strict vigilance. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care! I sincerely hope you will find this information useful in your journey towards better health. Hope you get well soon! Good Luck and take care!
736314 tn?1276884623 Both meds can have so mind altering affects temporarily, taking both could make it more amplified. That's my rational guess. How much Ativan are you taking? Buspar takes a while to kick in, but you may feel some initial affects, if was a couple of weeks before I felt anything. I would suggest looking up both drugs so you know the full monographs on both. If you find it's severe, then I would suggest calling your doctor. Is it your family doctor or a pdoc?
Avatar f tn Some meds need to be separated by a short period of time. I guess these are more specifically SSRI's and MAOI's. I didn't see a major problem with the meds being taken consecutively. This should always be at the discretion of ones doctor though. I guess I neglected to emphasize the importance of only ever making medication changes after consultation with the treating physician. There are a number of factors to consider when changing meds. Withdrawal is only one.

4943237 tn?1428991095 Folks, I managed health food stores for 18 years, and I've heard all the stories and read a lot of monographs on alternative "cures." The problem is the documentation is lacking. Hunzas get sick just like everyone else and we have no idea how long they live as those who were studied didn't have birth certificates -- they live in a very isolated community.
Avatar m tn Germany, like many European countries, has a government agency called the Kommission E which produces official monographs guiding the safe prescription, usage and manufacture of herbal medicines.
Avatar m tn //www.rxmed.com/b.main/b2.pharmaceutical/b2.1.monographs/CPS-%20Monographs/CPS-%20(General%20Monographs-%20F)/FLORINEF.html My favorite steroid calculator is down.. boo... What about salt tablets? Not buffered as she does not need potassium. I can only get them on one place on the internet but I take 2 grams a day. I buy the 1000 tablet bottle. Oddly, I also started acupuncture and it helped stabilize me as well. My practitioner is a medical doctor and that also helps.

Avatar m tn OP...why would your doc intentionally set out to make you become physically dependent? That doesn't make any sense. First, as the other posters above said...there isn't any monetary motive for them. To play devil's advocate...the bottom line is WE are responsible for ourselves....people must thoroughly educate themselves before starting ANY meds...weighing the risks and benefits. Rx's come with educational monographs for that reason.
Avatar m tn People can blame doctors all day long...and yes, some docs don't do a great job of educating their pts on the risks of ANY medication, but the basic responsibility in the END lies with US. We need to take 100% full responsibility for any new medication we decide to take...OTC, vitamin, or otherwise. That is why EVERY prescription med comes with an education monograph, so that you can read it and decide after having the info if it is something you want to take.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure why that question came up at this point in time. At the time, when I did need support, I felt very alienated. I am currently having issues with pursuing support (or the appropriate support?). This is confusing. Not only does my mood fluctuate (causing me to feel I either need support or I don't), but the mental health services have given mixed messages as to what constitutes an emergency and what support can be given.

Ashelen is proof that it is considered safe enough to take during pregnancy.
