I do have to admit, I had a tough time with the very first shot. As you know, you drop coumadin and start Lovenox (which is a lower molecular weight heparin). My first kit came with a book and a DVD telling my excaty what to do. I just piched up my belly just to the side of my belly button and pushed in the needle. Remember to switch sides with each injection. After the first injection, it is much easier to do. The shots do not hurt. The needles are very small in diameter.
I have a 28 year old son who has permana t spinal nerve damage from being stuck to many times when he had All Leukemia back in 2001. He is 10 years cancer free. But, he has a lot of other issues, mainly spinal nerve pain (arachnoiditus). A year ago he got a clot in his calf and it broke off went to his lungs..over the last year, we have found out he is cumadin resistant and xeralto resistant. The lovenox injections work, but his gut is purple and hard as a rock.
RE had me start Lovenox after 2nd beta (I have been on baby aspirin and am continuing). My question is, with a low-med positive is Lovenox indicated. RE says he is being extra cautious, which I respect. But, could it cause any problem with the baby or pregnancy if it is NOT needed. Also, could the elevated ACL have anything to do with my infertility? Thank you in advance.
I am 13 days post ablation.I was prescribed Lovenox post ablation also Coumadin. After 8 days on Lovenox I was told to stop using it as my INR was 3.8. My Lovenox prescription was for 12 days.Now just on Coumadin 5mg daily and INR has come down to 3. If you cannot tolerate Coumadin you may be "stuck" with Lovenox because of it's ability as an anticoagulant.
So I'm going on a daily dose of Lovenox, and I have to have hydroxyprogesterone weekly. I'm getting nervous not so much for me but my fiancé. He takes great care of me and idk if it's hormones but now with baby #2 being a girl it's a risk I may genetically passed or will pass my high blot clot risk to her. What if she has miscarriage problems or risks having going into labor early. I worry about my son too- I just found this information out today.
I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.
Anyone on Lovenox... Will the burning ever go away? Any advice of where to do the injections. My love handles are so soar and its only been a week.
I am 21 years old and have struggled with obesity since I was a kid. I am 274 lbs as of right now with high blood pressure. I want to get in shape and lose the excess fat. I dont look healthy at all and my family has a history of obesity and many health problems come with it. I want to prevent these health issues and start living/eating/working out right. I have watched the biggest loser and have always tried to lose weight but I can't or I don't know how.
s what you mean when you say you have lost a significant amount of weight in a not-so-healthy manner, if I am wrong, I am sorry for assuming).If you do/have struggled with an eating disorder, you need to tell your dr. immediately. They can aid you in overcoming the depression of pregnancy weight gain and guide you in normal pregnancy weight gain (maybe refer you to a pregnancy nutritionist). There have been studies showing the longer the length of time a child sit in front of the TV, the greater the weight gain. Limit high sugar drinks/snacks, and try replacing with low fat milk/yogurt, fruit, air popped popcorn, or low-fat cheese.
Because of the Lovenox, I am now almost 18 weeks pregnant with a very active baby. I will take the Lovenox right up until the end of my pregnancy. My hubby gives me the shots. I have to ice the area first, otherwise it hurts really bad, but if I ice it a good 3-5 minutes before the shot, I cant even feel it.
I think that you will find the success you are looking for with the Lovenox. Congratulations on finally getting a diagnosis, it will make a big difference for you!!!!
her doc and tell them what exactly is going on so that they can offer up advice on how to safely deal with this.....good luck to you...they are the ones who know your moms complete medical history and the cause of the angina..............
