I suffer from extreme migraines and take Imitrex, Zomig and meloxicam as an antinflammatory. I was prescribed Loestrin but suffered with more frequest migraines. My LH/FSH ratio is about 2.4 and I have borderline low estogen and slightly increased testosterone. What do you think I should do about the Fe and regulating my hormones to normal. On loestrin I had bleeding every other day and now that I am not on it i havent had menstruation since August almost 6 months ago.
well you usually ovulate 14-15 days after the first day of your last period on a 28 day cylce. while on bc pills taking antibiotics can cancel them out and yes you could get pregnant. it is a slim chance but there is still a chance. i would wait til you are due for your next period and if you miss it i would go see your doctor. hope this helps!
I recently started taking Loestrin 24. I started experiencing light bleeding during sex which lasts for a day or 2 then stops, but then occurs again the next time. It only happens during/after sex. I've never had this happen before. There was nothing abnormal when I had my check up and was given the prescription. Has anyone ever heard of this happening with this brand?
Hi, i have been on lo loestrin fe for 1 month. Today i am taking second brown pill, which is also the last one...i feel menstrual pain for a few days, but no menstruation. I am worried! Is pregnancy possible if i had intercourse with my bf (while i was on the pill) but he had never ejaculated inside? It is written that lo loestrin fe is protecting you from the first day if u are starting on the first day of your period. Thats how i did. But why is my period not coming?

With any hormonal contraceptive, you are going to have some side effects, so the way to go about choosing which to use, is to choose the one the is the best trade off for you (eg. the side effects for the contraceptive benefit).
Finally, because you used the method before with no problems, SOME of your symptoms may be situational too--so consider some stress reduction!

I was prescribed Loestrin 20 two months ago after asking for a 'weaker' pill. The first month was pretty bad with immediate mood swings, fatigue and swollen breasts. The bleeding kept going through the whole month and stopped when my period was due! I have completed the second pack two days ago: I've had no bleeding expect a light period when it was due and the other symptoms have all improved. I have also.
I've not had any problems with Yaz or Loestrin 24. I'm on Loestrin right now because Yaz made me pretty low emotionally. However, I think because they are so low dose pills, they shouldn't cause such a problem.
I've heard bad thinkgs about Seasonal/ique, though. I dunno. I take Loestrin continiously and haven't had an issue, I don't see why you would bother with a pill specifically marketed as "less periods" when you can have them with any.
Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????
I have been on lo loestrin fe for the past 4 months. This past month I had breakthrough bleeding. I've been told that breakthrough bleeding means that I am not protected anymore, but does that mean that my pills were not working for the entire month prior to breakthrough or just the time after that? Could I have gotten pregnant before breakthrough even if I had taken pills regularly?

ve gotten my blood checked, and my iron was a little low, but my ferritin is within normal range..on the lower end of normal, though. I have been taking biotin everyday along with prenatal vitamins, and it's not working. I've just noticed a pattern of excessive hair loss a few weeks after taking plan B. If it doesn't slow down or stop, I'm afraid my scalp is going to start showing. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!
t know if I really should be on iron supplements and that amount. Is 50mg iron 1-2x day enough (assuming I need any)? Is this only for a few months or will I have to take it forever? I dont want to create a dependency. I felt like he was guessing when prescribing meds. My primary dr. has known about my iron level for 2 yrs and said its normal and bever prescribed medication.
2. Can the stopping of birth control still have hair loss effectes almost 2 years after stopping the pill?
I have been on Loestrin for nearly a year now. I take it continuously so I do not get a period. This has stopped the endo pain. I'm hoping that it is also preserving my fertility until we are ready to try again.
I do like Loestrin. I have had major depression and I feel fine on L. Sorry though no experience with Yaz. I think L is worth a try. It's different for everyone so you will only know by trying.

More then likely it's the birth control combined with your period. I don't think you have any reason to worry.
per bloodwork, I am only in perimenopause and am on day 5 of Lo Loestrin. Has anyone had success feeling better on this bcp and did it take a couple of cycles to really notice. I get these periodic heart palps and adrenaline rushes throughout the day. I'm still taking flaxseed oil and evening primrose to help control, but am really hoping the Lo Loestrin makes a difference. Has anyone done well taking bcp for their peri symptoms?

I've had HORRIFIC cramps and I'm somewhat heavy with dark blood and red with some clomps and my period isn't flowing constantly it keeps stoping and I'm panicking cause I don't know if this is normal or not.

I've been on birth control since I was 15 (now 23) for ovarian cysts. About a year ago I switched pills from Loestrin 24 fe to Lo Loestrin 24 fe. Within the year I think I've had 2 periods (only lasting a day or so) and a few days of very light spotting. I do know this pill is the lowest dose of hormones you can have with a birth control pill. Is this normal?
I have a history of on and off yeast infections. I am currently taking Lo Loestrin Fe. I noticed a green discharge on some toilet paper I used the other day. It was mucus-like, stringy, and odorless. I've been having a bit of vaginal itching on and off (both inside the vagina and outside) and I have no idea what could be going on. I'm hoping the discharge is just something that happens with birth control pills.
If my period is supposed to arrive around Sunday, when would be the best time to start on the Loestrin? I know that with Primolut-N, you're supposed to start taking it 3 days before your period is supposed to start. Is it the same with Loestrin, do you think? I would ask my doctor but she's so hard to reach and don't want to accidentally miss my window of time!
